To install Lexmark X5630 you need to drivers/ software which you can download from Lexmark Official Support for X5630
Visit the above link, select the Operating System (OS) to get the drivers. After downloading the drivers file, double-click the file to run it and follow the on-screen instruction to install the printer drivers/ software

The Lexmark OCR scan software is only available in the installation cd. It's not available for download from the internet. I suggest you contact Lexmark technical suppor for assistance.

The Lexmark OCR scan software is only available in the installation cd that came with the printer. Not available for download. I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support to request for that. Provide them your contact information and the serial number found behind the printer. Thank you for choosing Lexmark.

The Lexmark scan software (OCR) can only be installed using the installation cd that came with the printer. It's not included in the driver you downloaded from the Lexmark website since it's a big file. Anyway, if you don't have the installation cd, you can request for it for free by contacting Lexmark Technical Support.

The OCR application/software can only be installed using the installation cd. It's not available for download. I advise you to call Lexmark at 1-800-LEXMARK (1-800-539-6275) for the installation cd. They can better assist you with this request. They might be able to send you one for free. If you need more assistance, leave a comment. I'll get right back to it.

I guess you are not selecting a printer while you giving print command.

Click on Print, A rectangle box opens with options, on top you will see name, see it shows your printer name " Lexmark X1270 and not microsoft office document writer.

If correct printer is selected then it wont save an image or word file, it will perfectly print your document.

If it didn't come with any OCR software you can find some free OCR software by Googling free OCR. After you have the software installed, it's usually a case of browsing to the scanned image via the software and telling the application to convert the image into a Word document. Some applications have the ability convert to PDF as well. If you prefer a PDF document but your OCR application doesn't support that option, then download some free "print to PDF" software.
