Trying to record on a DVD-R , after several minutes trying to load i get a msg saying it can neither read nor play this disc , check disc,,please help

I've had this problem with trying to record on CD-Rs also. DVD and CD recorders can be very fussy. You just have to get a piece of dust or a fingerprint on the CD or DVD that's being recorded onto and it gets kicked back as a check disc or blank disc..

Another problem is some recorders will only accept certain brands. I've had problems recording onto a SONY CD-R with a SONY recorder! So, in summing up, try a different brand or make sure the disc is clean. Sometimes just taking the disc out and putting it back in in a different position will make the recorder think it's an OK disc. Hope this helps.

When i make a call or get an incoming call, i can hear people at the other end speaking. but they cant hear what i say. Please do assist me to solve this issue

It may be a hardware problem. to check it go to voice recorder in your phone in record any sound and save it and play it. if you hear good quality sound (loud and clear) then it is not hardware problem. try formatting your phone it will do for you.
and if you hear bad quality or not at all able to hear any sound of recorded clip then it is hardware problem. you can not fix it by yourself you have to go to mobile repairing shop and ask them to install new mike in your phone. it india it cost around Rs100-150.
hope this was helpful.
THANKS FOR USING FIXYA.

VCR won't record.

When you press record, does the tape eject? if it does, make sure the safety tab is intact. if not, put a piece of scotch tape over the hole. Do you hit the record button on the vcr or a universal remote? On a remote, you may have to hit recort 2 times.

This 78 rpm has a piece broken cleanly out of it. How can I attach the piece so that I can play & tape the record and then put it away?

The only way to do it is with superglue. You need to be very careful and apply it very lightly to the pieces possibily with a small sewing needle. Very fiddly work. I repeat tiny amounts of glue, otherwise they will cause a blob. You might need to test any glue on a record that has had it. Just to make certain the glue won't attack the plastic.

My mic is recording sound from the headphones, NOT the mic piece, why is this?

-right click on the volume icon on the system tray and select recording devices

-there should be a selection that says stereo mix or something like it
if not.. right click on a blank space on that box and select "show hidden devices"

-you must disable this device

-make sure your microphone jack is enabled

-click apply and it should work

Can't find VHS video recording when I press play on VCR.

make sure your VCR is on the right channel TO record.

You may see the picture on the televison, but that doesn't mean that it is recording that channel. Also, make sure your tapes have the little plastic tab ON on the front of it. It will not record without the plastic tab or you can use a piece of scotch tape and put over the square hole.

Are you using coaxil cable or rca jacks to hook up vcr to tv?
