Question about Zebra LP 2844 Thermal Printer
Some of my customers are using a LP 2844 with direct thermal paper (not a label) with a black mark at the back. The printer is suppose to stop at the black mark but sometimes it skips one or just do not stops at all. In that case, after 4 or 5 receipt it just stop and give an error message. What could be the problem? I know that it can not be the printer, if my customer puts a certain roll in it, it is ok change roll then we have the problem, change back to the first roll and everything is ok again. (the rolls are from different manufacturer)
And I am also looking to find the specification for the best type of paper to use with the LP 2844
Compare the 2 rolls, Pay close attention to the position ans size of the black mark. The black mark sensor in the zebra 2844 is not (where you would expect it to be) in the centre of the label. It is about 10mm to the right,
Try calibrating the printer to your labels.
Check my other solutions to see how to perform a manual calibration.
