Yes, find a licensed refrigeration technician. They will solder the hole and recharge with refrigerant. It should then be as good as new (or however old it is).

Oo.comI am getting water in the bottom of the refrigerator enough for it to leak out the front and spill onto the floor. I believe it is coming down the back wall. How can I fix it?

the drain hole for the evaporator drain pan is plugged, you need to remove rear panel in freezer inside wall, thaw out any ice in the drain hole located under the evaporator coil, then take a small wire and rod-out this drain hole till you get water coming out the end of this tube at the pan located near the bottom of the machine near the compressor

Refrigerator has water dripping inside the unit down the back

The problem is the drain is clogged. Remove the back panel in your freezer and at the bottom of the evaporator coil you will see a hole about ½” in diameter this is the drain tube. You might need to use some warm water to melt the ice and then run a wire being very careful not to puncture the hose and run it down the tube to free up the drain. This tube travel down to the bottom of your refrigerator to a pan sometimes located on top of the compressor or somewhere else down there. It collects the water there to evaporate. You can enter your model # at for a diagram or illustration of your refrigerator. Not all models are available.

My Whirlpool refrigerator is leaking. We recently moved it to tile the floor. Now it is leaking on the inside. There is water in the freezer too, a coating of ice on the floor of the freezer. I turned off...

Defrosting unit might solve it, it sounds like your drain pan under your evaporator and the defrost element is not allowing any water to drain down to the pan on the bottom. Assuming this is a top mount freezer, remove the back panel and clean out the pan below the aluminum evaporator(the aluminum evaporator is on the back wall, looks like a radiator kind of, holds freon, do not puncture this) What you have to clean out is all the ice build up, or let it melt overnight, and pour some water down the little hole it the center to make sure it is open(hot water)

I hammered a nail in wall an it wasent right so i took it out an water came out so i av put it back an its just dribbleing now what shall i do

You probably punctured a water line(probably plastic). You will have to shut off the water to the house and cut open the drywall to examine the damage. Leaving the nail in the hole will not solve the problem. You may have water leaking into the wall now.

Hi, unfortunate, sorry to hear that, but it could be repaired, you should immediately dried up water/ice around punctured area, prevent water/ moisture entering punctured area (evaporator. lines), it's one of the worst thing, that could happened to any refrigeration system, it will be costly to repaired, if water get into your evaporator lines, compressor oil have to be replaced, evaporator will need to be flush out, repair puncture, change filter drier, it's better to replace compressor, vacuum system for about 2hrs. then recharge. it's better to use welding/ soldering, to repair punctured line, epoxy repair kit can be used to repair punctured (evaporator) lines . you will have to call a mechanic, if very little water entered punctured( evaporator) lines, then flushing of evaporator, (internal cleaning of lines (tube) changing of filter drier, with overnight vacuuming will do the job. take note, job like this, cannot be guaranteed. check cost for repairs, sometimes it's better to purchase a new one, and save yourself some time never use sharp instruments in your freezer, it happened to me sometimes, it's what you get your hands on, what's available at the moment, good luck.

Punctured gas line/ uses R-12

not very easily. Most freezers have the evaporator and condenser inside the wall of the cabinet and you cannot access them. If the puncture is in the condenser you can put in an exterior condenser however the parts break down for your model does not offer this option (:

Kegorator conversion

Refrigerant lines are normally visible on unit's like this. There should be a condenser coil mounted to the outside back of the unit, or underneath the unit, with the compressor. The condenser coil is the one that get's warm or hot when the unit is running.
As for the evaporator, or cooling coil, it is what get's cold when the unit is running, and is normally mounted along the top or back of the unit. As long as you avoid puncturing any of these two coils, you should have no problem drilling holes. However, if this is a conversion kit, there should be instructions for where to drill the holes. If you just bought a refrigerator with the intent of converting, well, you'll need to look the unit over real well using the directions I've given above. The only other thing to look our for is the suction line and liquid lines leading between the inside and outside of the unit. You should be able to find where the enter into the cold box on the inside, and where the exit the cold box on the outside, near the compressor/condenser coil. Manufacturers normally use the shortest route between the two to save material, so you should not have to worry about anything in the top surface. One way to tell is if that surface heats up when the unit is first turned on from not running.

Well... here's an idea.

Drill a 1/2 inch hole where you punctured the wall of the freezer, make sure you don't hit the coils. Then goto lowes/home depot and get that expansion foam that is used to insulate windows and holes in houses. Grab a razor blade and scalp off the excess after it's dried. Now cover the foam on the inside of the freezer with 2 part epoxy or "shoe goo" or e6000 (these are the toughest glues I have ever used) which is available at a hobby shop. Make sure you do a test with the foam and the glue on cardboard first to make sure the glue won't eat at the foam.

Are you sure you punctured the coil? If you did you can goto an auto part place and ask for a compression fitting (most commonly used to repair brake lines on cars) for what ever tube size the coil is, use a fine ruler is the best. Then you can repair the coil by using a pipe cutter to cut the coil and put it back together with the compression fitting. Now call the appliance service guys and have them come out and recharge the system.

Fixed, total cost... about $50 bucks

Other solution, replace entire fridge, total cost $$$$$

Ice acculumates in the bottom of freezer

Defrost drain tube is plugged. Drain is a round hole about the size of a quarter below the evaporator coils. (behind back wall of freezer.) Take a turkey baster with hot (not boiling) water and shoot it into the drain hole until water runs through it (into drain pan under refrig.)
