I had tried a half dozen "2SDcard" type apps as well as half dozen file/apps managers which I downloaded from the Google Play Store. None of them even recognized the SD card I had in my Dell Venue 8. And while the Dell "Settings-storage" did show there was a 32 GB card there none of the apps I tried found it. And that is with both my original tablet and the "refurbished" tablet Dell sent me because they were unable to fix my original Tablet. So since it became clear that Dell was not going to help me with their product, I returned my Dell Venue 8 to Office Max for a full refund. So I guess I would have to comment that: 1. If Dell is going to provide an SD card slot, why not provide the correct software or hardware to allow for its use. 2. If all I needed to do was install an app called "ES Explorer" why didn't the Dell Tech tell me that? They are supposed to be the experts, not me. (As I no longer have the tablet I cannot try your suggestion so don't know if the 13th app I might have downloaded would work or not.) But I do want to thank you. Your post was more helpful to me than the four different Dell Techs I spoke with

Remove apps & clean out memory space. Then download and reinstall. Or you may be able to add a larger external memory card.
not exactly sure - but some tablets designate internal stg for the operating system and built-in apps and data such as address book or contacts, the settings app, etc. the endeavor stg may be the remaining available for your apps, data and media. Some updaters require extra working room to update an app - look in your settings and see if you set a default location for the apps and media you install. Another thing you can try is to delete the app and then reinstall it from the play store, the reinstall should grab the latest version. It also looks like you can add memory via SD card - probably a micro SD - 16gb is fairly inexpensive. Insert the card then mount it - look in your settings to see if you can set it as your default location or if it is offered as a choice when attempt to install an app. Some operating systems only allow media such as music, photos and videos to be stored on SD card memory - if possible, do a google search for your tablet model to find a manual.
SOURCE: how do i use the extra space and memory card on my tablet?
I have a Nextbook 7" Capacitive Touch Android Tablet.
i got this for my son for Christmas. he has put a few games on the device and now we keep getting a message saying there is not sufficient space for new downloads. so then i bought a 32mb sd card, and were still getting the same message, but it shows there is over 3/4 of the hard drive still available, and all of the sd card space still available. does anyone know what could be wrong? or what i could do to fix this??
New card would work, most portable games won't allow download from PC, if they do you can side load via mem card, still need space though..
