Check for a loose connection on the print stylus. These are very delicate and break easily. Like any thermal stylus, it is only a heater which is very brittle and cracks easily. If you have a volt meter, see if you are getting voltage to the stylus but I believe it was accidentally broken while cleaning, happens all the time.

How many labels has the printer printed? Because it sounds to me like you just need to replace the print head.

They are around $400 from whomever your supplier is, and very easy to replace.

SOURCE: How does ECG machine find

hi,
When the at2 is in auto mode, first of all it check the leads are properly connected or not. Then it will acquire the ECG and store the same in its memory then only it starts printing. that's why it takes that much time to give a printout. When its starts printing you can remove the connections from the patient because it have already memorized the ECG.
If interpretation is in on position it will compare the acquired ecg with the standards in its memory (allready programed by the manufacturer). and will give a detailed report with ecg.
ok

New Contec ECG 300EG model no tracings appear on the EKG paper.

Ekg machines print on thermal paper, This means that the impression is made by the print head heating the paper. If the print head is not making contact with the paper, you will get a faint tracing or no tracing at all. This needs to be adjust by a technician. Contec is located in China and we are a dealer. At-2 lite model not printing visibly patient data and interpretation also have blurred upper part of EKG print. All leads are printed well. Is this setup problem or malfunction?

hi,
check the paper you have inserted. if the paper quality is bad then the printing can become bad. Use schiller original paper.

if again printing is bad then the thermal printing head of you machine is faulty or the. you have to replace the same.

My machine needs the ink changed? how do I do this

There is no ink in that model, it is a thermal printer. You might have the wrong paper or a bad print head or a bad print roller. To test this. Get some thermal paper (You will know it is thermal if you expose it to a heat source and it turns black) and some electrical tape. But a small strip of electrical tape on the print roller. Then do a test sheet. if it prints out darker where you have the electrical tape on the roller it means you need a new roller or possibly a new paper tray cover. You are not getting enough pressure where the two make contact. if you get nothing you need a new print head. We can help with this, 800 989 4909, ask for Jeff

Hello LV792727, Disconnect the AC & battery power and proceed with caution. Open the case to aquire access to the thermal print head. Clean the print head with a white eraser, the type used for cleaning ink prints not the #2 pencile eraser. Test the printing function. If necessariy use a Q-Tip with a light touch of Aceatone to whip the print head. The next step is replacing the printing element. Please inform me of the results. Good luck.

Solid Blank Line

If it's blank, is this on what you send/recieve?

Also if you print something like a status sheet, is it missing on those too? If so, your print head needs replacing.

If its on copies/sents you need to clean the scanner head.
