I want my key board back so that I can type my messages

on the android screen tap the message icon a blank screen and a key board appear type in the message and tap send.

Well completely removing the keyboard wont really help, seeing as how there is an underlay board it rest on. Also you risk voiding any type of warranty by doing so.

So I'm assuming coke or some other type of drink or sticky substance is making the keys stiff.

Best advise to you is to manually take a small knife..or butter knife would be safer and lifting up each key very carefully till it pops off. If you are careful there should be no worries and you can clean the board under the keys the best you can...(DO NOT OPENLY POOR WATER OR CLEANING SOLUTION) take a rag or a towel, lightly moisturize it and clean or wipe carefully.

Then just re-seat the keys back to the board as the springs and or latches under the keys should just snap back into place.

Remember where the keys go also, or typing could get interesting for you if you look at the keyboard.

I myself ...do not even glace at the keyboard anymore :P

the component name on the board or numbers are known as alphabets,

they are used when trying to type messages to be sent to people though text messages.

the alphabets are to direct you on how to locate them on the board or numbers.

for instance if you are trying to type alphabet k on the phone, you punch the key 5 three times and you k appears on the screen.

so that is what the component name on the board is all about.

we have to make sure if this is an issue with the key board or if it is with the software, it is very simple, all you need to do is, just plug an external key board (USB type) and try using it, if you do not have any issue with the external key board the you just need to replace the key board of your laptop.
If you are having the same issue or something similar to the current issue, it is evident that you have some kind of virus in the computer. have your system scanned with an antivirus software.

Check in your control panel for your keyboard settings, it's usually just a small problem, try changing your repeat time and please get back to me.

I have Sigmatel too. try this website. I have been working three days on my computer. i tried new drivers (said i didn't need them. i actually went to a message board where people had a similar problem and downloaded (clicked on) a patch (3 small zipped files that were registry keys). It was really scary to trust a two year old message in a message board from a stranger but it restored my sounds instantly. I did back up the registry first. I had deleted codecs (xvid) that i never used and my system sounds disappeared. If this doesn't work, keep googling phrases and look for message boards. good luck
