I am trying to install sound driver on motherboard D101GGC (high definition audio bus) my computer is showing error message Code-10. Please give me suggestions.

A Code 10 error is generated when Device Manager can't start the hardware device, a situation usually caused by outdated or corrupted driver A device may also receive a Code 10error if a driver generates an error that Device Manager doesn't understand. In other words, a Code 10 error can sometimes be a very generic message indicating some kind of unspecified driver or hardware problem. Uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers for the device is a likely solution to a Code 10 error. If reinstalling driver is not working than try to rollback the driver or restore the system on previous date..

My sound don't work with Window 7. My computer model is Dell Dimension 4500. Would you like to give me any idea of how to be compatible with Window 7?

Uninstall the sound drivers for your computer using the device manger. Reboot. Windows should reinstall the proper drivers. Make sure your OS is up to date via the Microsoft Update site.

If you search Microsoft Compatability List, you will get to the complete list of hardware and software compatability.

My computer says that thay is no a sound device installed

Anytime a peripheral (speakers) doesn't work, start by unplugging it. Turn the computer on with it unplugged. Shut the computer down again. Plug in the speaker(s). Turn the computer back on. If MS "finds new hardware," follow the prompts to reinstall. If nothing happens, update your drivers on Microsoft's update site. If that doesn't work:
Go to start, then Control panel, and then click on sounds and devices. If your screen looks different than the pic below, go to left of your screen and click on classic view. Double click on Sounds Icon. Click the hardware tab. Highlight each device and click properties. It will say if the device is working properly.
Go down the list of devices. If you find one that shows a problem, Check the driver. If it was newly installed, roll back the driver. You can also look for a new one online. If that doesn't show anything, go to system in the (control panel too). Click on device manager, then the + next to Sound/video Controllers. Look for a red x, indicating malfunction. Double click on anything with a red X and check the drivers, especially recently changed ones. Update drivers and follow troubleshooters. You can do the same with Accessories, where the speakers will be listed in device manager. Last resort is to right click on the offender and uninstall, then restart. Hope that Windows will identify the hardware and reinstall it with the proper drivers. If not, go back to Microsoft and search for optional device drivers.

Audio/volume problem

First, go to control panel - > Audio devices, then right-click any empty spot on the sound device, and show disabled or disconnected devices. If "Speakers" shows up, right-click and choose set as default (or something similiar). If this does not work, just reinstall your audio drivers. Right-click my computer -> Properties -> Hardware - > Device manager - > Sound, then find the sound cards manufacturer name, and right-click an press uninstall.
