I set my Lexmark 2600 printer, did all the unplugging and waiting for 10 second, yet all I can print if the page that has all of the blue, black and gree heading. No matter what I do.

Did you try to uninstall and then re-install your printer? This works for mine when it acts like a child and starts to color all over my walls and such! I say: BAD PRINTER!....BAD!!! Don't even make me COME OVER THERE!

Open the printer cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.


If that doesn't help, the problem could be due to a clogged print cartridge nozzle. Please follow the steps below to fix print quality issues with your model:

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
  7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

My lexmark X7170 keeps printing black pages instead of what I am trying to copy. It used to be black stripes but now is completely black.


Do you get the same result/image when scanning to your computer? Remove the cartridges from your computer. Then close the printer cover.Unplug the power adapter from the printer.

Wait at least 10 seconds before replugging the adapter into the printer. This will give enough time for the printer to reset. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges. Try to make a copy or scan again. If you're still getting the same result, I would strongly suggest you to contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

Wait at least 10 seconds before replugging the power adapter into the printer. When the printer completely boots up, try to make a copy a again. If problem continues where it is partially printing copies or having print quality issues, you may need to update the printer's firmware. I have the Lexmark X2670 and a couple days ago I scanned a document. Now I am not able to print anymore, I have items waiting to print when I check the printer, but the printer continues to print out...


Reset your printer by unplugging the power adapter from it(small black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached). Wait for at least 10 seconds before plugging the power adapter back in the printer.
Clear the print queue first before sending another print job. Follow the steps below:
