SOURCE: Reduced audio output from right channel

Try lightly tapping on chassis to see if you can get audio to cut on or off with vibration if you can most likely cause is bad solder connections. This unit is well known for poor solder connections especially around poweramp driver IC's IC701, IC501. Also Electrolytic Capacitors in unit have fluid in them and heat Evaporates the fluid causing them to not operate properly over time . Caps that usually go bad are around parts that run hot like Power amp drivers
Just a couple likely suspects.
Try unplugging overnight to give unit a Good Reset also double check all setup settings.
If you need service manual I may be able to get you one

SOURCE: Yamaha RX-V757 No Left Channel Output - Video Sources Only

First - make sure it is not a defective cable by reversing the leads/colors on the inputs if problem then goes to the right channel then you know it is a bad cable/RCA, etc., connector. I would try that first.

Thanks,

SOURCE: Technics 1310 turntable has left channel (white

There are just two causes, one is the preamp, which can be easily checked by putting the right channel jack in the left terminal. If the sound is normal, then it's likely that the cartridge in the deck is bad, or some wire is loose. However if the sound is still poor then the magnetic cartridge preamp in the amp has a fault. These are normally a single IC, which will have failed. Find the preamp by tracing the wires from the imput socket to the PC board, which may be alone.

My GFA 555II amp blew the 2 left channel fuses while playing at normal loudness levels.

Fuses blow when there is a short circuit. All you need to do is replace the main output devices located on the heat sink. They are the ones that will have shorted most likely. Check your speakers and wiring for that channel. Any wire cross connecting will cause that kind of fault, likewise a faulty speaker.
Any engineer will be able to do this job, providing they can find the parts. But you can check them yourself by looking for the parts on the internet.

Fuses on board blow after a minute or so after power up

Most likely the wire for the speakers, if you have them wired for a specified ohm that the amp doesnt support will cause the issue, as well as bad ground, cross connecting wires. I would start by removing all wires and connections, ensure they are clean and speakers are wired properly.

I only have left channel on speakers working have tested speakers ok, swapped pre amp boards still one channel, swapped output boards the same. What could it be? Barry

is there Sound stage output is stereo if stereo then one side is missing or broken link from ic to speaker, If mono output then use with one side 2 speaker parallel.

Blows fuse when turned on?

You either have a shorted output transistor on the left or right channel or the voltage regulator in the power supply is shorted. It will continue to blow fuses until the part is replaced.

When right channel is wired it shorts out the power supply. Aragon 8008 when powered up without input and output, no problem. When connected with speakers and line level feed in, the left channel works...

Fuses blow when there is an overload caused by a short circuit. If the speaker you connect up to the amp causes a short. There is either a shorted part in the speaker or the wires to it are touching at some point. Assuming you can sort out the speaker issue and connecting a good speaker with good wiring and it still causes a short and blows a fuse. Then it's likely the output device(s) in the right channel have developed a short themselves. Perhaps as a result of being connected to faulty wiring or speakers.

I need to know the size of external fuses for a american legacy amp 2000 watt 2 channel 1990

25 to 30 amp fuses will work great, anything lower could possibly blow a fuse when a good bass note hits even if there is nothing wrong with the amp. Hope this helps.

GLI PRO preamplifier fuses burn

You shorted the main semicondutors and they have now got a short on them, so they are acting just like a piece of wire and drawing too much power so the fuses blow. You need to replace whatever is on the main heatsink. Did both channel wires make contact or just one? If only say the right did you might only need to replace the right side parts, unless it is an IC doing all the work!

Installation

If you've got a standard 4 speaker system (2 front, 2 rear), your best option is to connect both left speakers to the left channel amp output and both right speakers to the right channel amp output. The only thing you lose is the ability to fade the speakers front to back.

No power

Check the unit for any Fuses, Fusable Links etc, if they are OK proceede on to testing, I often troubleshoot these issues via a stereo head set, modify the leads so you can "Touch" them onto the Speakers Output Terminals, connect the "Shields" together, thats "Earth" and the other Two, are Left & Right... with a Sinal feed in & the Amp's volume turned to about 25% volume, connect up the Earth wires to the Chassis with a clip, under a srew etc, just make good contact... then touch the Left & right wires onto the output, ya should hear sound... if not most probably the Output device(s) may have gone faulty.
