Question about HP LaserJet 3330 All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

HP LASERJET 3330 printing quality is poor (on & off problem). It's double printing, scattered ink, and barely printing other times. I tried a new ink cartridge, replace the pick-up roller, and did some cleaning. It sometimes works for a little while after I go into the service function (cleaning mode), but goes back to the same problem after the printer is not used for a little while. Can this be fixed or should I replace this 7 year old printer?

Hi,

Based on the steps you've already taken, it sounds like you need to replace the fuser unit. The fuser is what melts the toner to the paper and over time it wears out. Some service techs call it "ghosting", when it seems like it reprints a image. Check your local repair companies and tell them you need to replace the fuser, the part number is RG9-1493-000CN. This part isn't something that can be easily changed out, it involves removing the top scanner and other components. Let me know if there is anything else you need.

HP LaserJet 3330 will not print multiple copies

Does this happen only with some documents/software? I have a different HP printer (a LaserJet) that does the same thing only with PDFs printed from another program. (This happens with PaperPort and browsers using the Adobe Reader plug-in, for example.) If I open Adobe Reader and then open the document in question, I can print multiple copies correctly.

I hope this helps.

Print quality poor, changed ink, cleaned heads multiple times, re-installed drivers. Black is scattered, like running out of ink?

Possible that the heads are weak and so does not improve much with the cleaning or ink change.
It is best to take an opinion to swap an head to confirm before you replace. Drying within also can contribute to this fault.

My HP Laser Jet 3330 keeps sending pop-ups and PRINTS out a message with the headline: HP LASERJET DIRECTOR: shortcuts and more..This occurs every time I start (boot?) my new Compaq CQ5110F PC with Vista...

Sounds like you have a software or driver conflict. Go to hp.com Support & Drivers and check to make sure you have the correct driver for Vista. Even if you do, try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver.

Also, while at hp, check for the latest Firmware update. Go to the printers menu and scroll to INFORMATION (or REPORTS). Select that sub-menu, then scroll to PRINT CONFIGURATION PAGE. Select thi and print out the page. Look for what is beside Firmware Datecode. If it is older than what is on the hp website, print out the instructions for installing the update.

suspect either worn ADF(automatic document feeder) pickup roller or there is a jam in the ADF unit where the paper feeds to the scanner.

Poor print quality of images on envelopes

clean the print head 3 times, then realign the head .these are done by printer utility software given with the printer.
Even not ok.
Then Replace the New Catridge.(manufactured from within 3 of 4 months).because the ink will be dried with in 6 month. So Buy Carefully with Mfd Date.

Thank you

HP Laserjet 3330 with Windows Vista

no you cannot print on both sides automatically.you have to give the prints 2 times.at first the paper will print on 1 side then insert the same paper in the printer and give the remaining printout and it will print on the back side of the same paper.as you can do it manually but the automatic printing on both side facility is not in HP Laserjet 3330 printers.
