Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

Whirlpool duet electric clothes dryer

Our dryer takes FOREVER to dry a load of clothes! It used ot take 40 minutes for an average load, now it takes 2 hours. We are now venting to an inside system (vent to a bucket of water, basically) after a repair man charged $75 to tell us the vent system was too long, so that's not the problem. We replaced the heating element, and dryer is getting hot inside, so that's not it. Hate to call another repair man if it's something simple... HELP!

I am having the same problem. It takes forever to dry a load of cloths. The whirlpool associates said to clean out the (outside) dryer vent. Well I did and continue to everyday. This has not worked. The machine gets hot on the inside, but not drying the cloths. I have had nothing but problems with both the washer and dryer.

What is automatic dry miser

Hello,
What the automatic dry miser is, is a sensor that measure how dry the clothes are and will adjust the time its going to take to dry the clothes throughout the entire cycle. If at the beginning it estimate it will take 40 minutes to sry a load but they are dry in only 25 minutes the dryer knows the clothes are dry and cuts the dryer off. Saving 15 minutes of unneeded gas and electric that it would run and waste power and gas since the clothes were dry already.

The clothes take forever to dry. Even with the more Dry cycle the clothes are wet after 40+ minutes The timing changes from 40 minutes then to one hour+.....

Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance.

What is the correct temp at dryer exhaust when dryer is on ''high'' I have a electric bill that has doubled and I am researching each appliance in my home.

The high thermostat usually cycles around 145°F (on average), but it is the time it takes to dry a load that really matters. Nothing should take more than an hour. Usually around 40 minutes average.

Dryer not drying

look at the vent outside and see if it closing or even has a cover this allows cold air inside the dryer and cause it to take longer to dry
