Question about Fuji Finepix F50FD Digital Camera
I can view my pictures but the other settings have a black/purple screen and I can't see anything on screen to take pictures or to shoot video.
If the image comes out black/purple/green, you are the victim of a dead CCD in the camera. Cost is prohibitively high to repair, unless the camera is under warranty. This is the result of poorly manufactured image sensors that allow tiny amounts of moisture into the innards. Nearly all camera manufacturers were affected, as most source their "chips" from outside suppliers, where quality was beyond the camera maker's control.
