Is an Intel E5200 CPU compatible with msi RC410M1.1 mobo?

The mobo is sometimes called Elitegroup RC-410M1.1. The machine was a Gateway E3048, (UK Spec) and I suspect the mobo is a variation specially made for Gateway. All I am trying to establish is whether I definitely need a new mobo for the new CPU; or whether the present mobo - possibly with a BIOS update - could support it.

    many thanks

This does not seem to be a msi motherboard model number. Perhaps you should chec again.

What computer is this mobo in? I thought your reference was to an MSI RC410M-L at first, and of course it won't support an Intel Pentium dual core. Is this mobo in a Compaq or HP computer? I await your replay, put it in additional comments.

Instal better processors ive one at 2.4 . i want 2 X 2.4 PROCESSORS on a asrock motherboard ,E5200 @2.50ghz, 2 gig ram,Pentium(R) DUAL-CORE CPU. How do i install this on motherboard

The CPU support list is here for you to check.

http://www.asrock.com/support/CPU.asp

If your MoBo supports the CPU you wish to fit, remove the heat sink and cooling fan, unclip the CPU and replace in the correct orientation. DO NOT attempt to force the CPU into the socket.

Also note you may have to upgrade the heatsink and cooling fan.

Hi There
The list of compatible processors is here:
http://global.msi.eu/index.php?v=1&func=prodcpusupport&prod_no=205&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=&cat3_no=#menu

The E5200 is a WolfDale processor and unsupported.

Many of the supported CPUs are hard to find but Newegg has one here:
