Clearing F1 Fault

My dishwasher started to display an F1 fault, was not running at the time, wondering how to clear fault

I have an F1 error code with a picture of a wrench on both the bottom and top dishwasher drawers. The metal basin underneath the bottom drawer had water in it. There must be or was a leak somewhere. The water had a foul smell to it suggesting it was related to waste water drain. I dried up the water and cleaned out the air vent on top of the cabinet (had a partial toothpick in it). I plugged the unit into the wall plug but the F1 code did not clear. I want to clear the code to see if the problem has been rectified. How do I clear the code? Fisher & Paykel Model DD603
    Thank you!  Jim

Why does a fisher and paykel DD-603 randomly gives f1 code even when not in use

Fault code F1 can come from a number of different sources and can remain on as long as the machine has power (does not need to be operating). Once a fault is repaired it can be cleared by pressing the Power button. If the fault is still present then it will not
clear. The service manual says: The faults are displayed in the LCD as one of 5 F (fatal) faults or 1 U (user) fault along with the symbol of a spanner. A fatal fault will usually require the assistance of a qualified service person...

Fault Code Description:
Fault Code: F1
LED Display: Rinse LED
Fault: The flood switch has been activated for more than six seconds
Possible Causes
_ Inlet hose to inlet valve connection loose
_ Inlet valve body leak
_ Damage to the fill or drain hoses
_ Heater plate damage (chipped enamel)
_ Seals/O Rings (pinched, contaminated or poor join)
_ Dispenser (seal, diverter valve or weld leak)
_ Lid area (lid motors not functioning correctly, lid off yoke or foreign object interfering with lid seal)

F1 Error code

F1 is flood error. basically water has arrived at the bottom board. you can unplug the dishdrawer, remove the bottom drawer and dry the board at the bottom, maybe with a hair dryer carefully. this will reset the fault, but this is a fault that may appear again. replace the actuators that close the lid of the drawer that is leaking (look for signs of water running our of one of the drawers).

Now after you have fixed the reveresed wiring problem you will need to remove the fault code fromt he memory otherwise the machine will not work. To remove the fault code do the following ENTER TEST MODE
SEQUENCE (cont.)
You will notice "t01". To choose the test mode that you want toverify, turn the knob to the desired test mode setting.
Push the start/pause button. To cancel the test mode, press on "power".
You will be able to choose another test mode and again press on "start/pause".
The display error codes test allows the service technician to examine and clear the fault log.
DISPLAY ERROR CODES TEST
(t02)
The display error codes test allows the service technician to examine and clear the fault log.
The control shall display the most recent error in the fault logupon entry into the display error codes test. If there are no errors in the fault log, the no error code "E00"shall be displayed on the 7-segment display.
The control shall clear the displayed error from the fault log if the start key is pressed during the display error codes test. After clearing thedisplayed error from the fault log, the appliance shall display the next most recent error from the fault log.
After clearing all errors from the fault log, the control shall display the no error "E00"code on the 7-segment display.
The control shall log the last 8 error codes in the non-volatile memory stored in a circular list.
The control shall avoid logging multiple instances of the same error code. now unplug the appliance for about 30 seconds and replug and everything should be fine

Fisher & paykel fault "F1" is displayed on the top

hello
F1 means the flood sensor senses water at base of machine at PC board.
You need to take out bottom drawer and check for water puddle under where the drawer was.If there is water you can get the machine going again by comletely drying it out(F1WILL CLEAR),but it still means you have a leak. With bottom drawer out you can really see whats going on.Once F1 is clear you can actually run upper drawer and see if it leaks. Most likely culprit are the lid actuators.Replace all 4 . It'll run like new.Don't overload drawer .That can cause lid leak too. Also the PC board may be damaged and may start to go crazy giving fake F1 codes.$80 easy fix.
good luck

SHU 53 MODELS To start test program, press and hold both SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO program buttons, then turn unit on by pressing ON/OFF button. Using a meter with a current coil, measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), display will show ?0″, water won?t heat (to 150?F) and water won?t stop circulating. F-1 is a fault code.

Disconnect the power plug or turn range power off at circuit breaker. Wait a couple of minutes, then plug the range in or flip the range circuit breaker to ON.

Oven control beeps & displays any F  code error (for example
F11) - Electronic control has detected a fault condition. Press
CLEAR/OFF to clear the display & stop beeping. Reprogram
oven. If fault recurs, record fault number. Press CLEAR/OFF
contact an authorized service agent.
