My 2014 Elantra's remote for alarm dosn't cherp or light up when pushing the button on remote to set the alarm. But the doors will lock. why?

The chirp comes from the alarm system itself. it may be a electrical short in the alarm system, or a damage in the alarm itself. u need an alarm shop or a good tech. wish I was there.

When the alarm activates on my Sangean WFR-28, I can see the preset station showing up on the screen but there is no sound, although the volume is set to 20.

I have the same issue with my Sangean WFR-28c. I just contacted support (through Sangean Europe site) but im still wating for an answer. If this carries on, i cannot use this radio. :(

How to enable alarm on sangean wr-2 clear

It's tricky but it can be done.. I should add that it'll require some patience but it'll happen. First thing is hit reset on the bottom of radio. Second thing is to interrupt the RDS (scrolling message after reset) by hitting the power button. Now long press set until it begins to flash 12:00. COUNT the flashes until the 26TH flash and hit BAND. It doesn't always work, but you'll know it does when the word alarm, an alarm clock symbol, and a speaker symbol are on the display above the time. I should also mention that it helps to switch the antenna (external & internal switch on the back) a few times (3 at least, 5 most) during both the RDS scrolling after reset AND while counting the flashes. They (Sangean) disabled the alarm, but some determined soul figured this out and it's been passed on by word of mouth through inmates. Good Luck. It's been my alarm clock on the streets here for 3 years now.

Use + or - button [18] to set alarm time hours.
Press set button [16] to set minutes using + or - button to

all the days for a few seconds indicating the alarm is not set
and the alarm will not be activated.

listening to press alarm button 1 or 2 for more then 2 seconds.

Sangean PR-D3L - How do I change between 12 and 24

Archer, I have read the entire PR-3DL manual and there appears no mention of a 12/24 hr setting, unlike certain other Sangean radios. The instructions for setting the alarm do not mention 'a.m.' or 'p.m.' .

Apparently, the clock is a 24:XX:XX display only.
