    What do you get on the screen? Exactly when does it freeze? Please advise last item on the post screen. What Operating system?

    I need the EXACT part number from the bottom of the computer . It wil be a part number "P/N" or an "FRU" number or both if available. This is how diagnostics and repairs are done, by part number .

Probabbly hard drive issue,,try booting with a win98 or a dos cd..and run chkdsk/f from a comand promt

When a system freezes it is typically the memory or video failing. It could also be overheating too. Try opening the unit and blowing out all the dust. Ensure the in and out air ports are clear too. If this does not help them you may have to have it services by a professional.

IBM Thinkpad A22m works fine except it freezes every once in a while and you have to re-start it for it to work as it is non-responsive to to anything you do unless you do re-start it.....any...


check for virus threat.may be a virus .check also if it freezes at the same point and at the same timing.
may be bad sectors or may be corrupt OS

Sounds like a virus. See is you can start it in safe mode. If you can, do a virus scan.

you have a driver problem most probably safe mode only installs essential drivers. check the log files to see where the boot is freezing.

Do a system restore to a week or two before this all happend otherwise it may be the Hard drive starting to go bad if doing a system restore don't help and also you should run your antivirus and spyware Hope that helps you out
