SOURCE: Display panel (right side) on

The first thing I would do is a hard reset (simply unplugging it for a couple of minutes) if that has not been done already.

Then one would need to retrieve the technical sheet (mini-manual) found behind the control panel assembly.

If you don't find your mini-manual, or if you want to look at it before removing the controller, you can download it here. Just enter your model number from the tag on your unit.

If a reset won't fix it, I would bet there is a loose connection where one of the boards connects to another, or some contamination from grease or steam, etc., at one of those connectors.

A lot of time one can unplug then reconnect the connector, and that will clean it. Or one can unplug the connector and clean the contacts with a soft pencil eraser.

I have a GE Profile microwave oven. It has power and I can input the time but it clicks and won't heat

Our MW did the same thing. Called the dealer and was told they are so cheap to buy, he doesn't repair them.
well ours has the vent hood and it's built in. Wasn't cheap at $350.
turned out to be a micro door safety switch that I got 2 new ones from eBay for $6 and free shipping.
if you are like me, when I would check the food while cooking by opening the door while running is what burned the switch out. So now I turn off the MW by button and not just open the door. Sodbust

Fgmv174kfb dim display

The owner's manual (here) does not mention that as a feature, so I would assume the oven has a defect and would need to be returned to your dealer to be exchanged under warranty.

Error F6EO

Hi there,

Well most likely either the H.V. diode or H.V. capacitor is bad or worst case scenario the mag tube has failed it's a costly repair.
Can you hear the magnetron operate i.e. light dims, transformer has a louder hum?

post back some comments for more help....

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Neff HTHB86K Microwave oven.

The microwave unit is faulty as you can read from the display or the controller isn't working correctly, you should take your MW oven to an authorized service center. It can be repaired by yourself but it's highly dangerous because it has high voltage inside and microwave energy.

Sharp carousel II microwave/convection oven

The question is... Do you want to put money on a 18year MW, or put it towards a new one? I must admit I love the SHARP Combo MW Convection ovens. I own two. One is almost 25years old. The mechanical Timer Type, but they work great and I can maintain them with 30years ef exrerience. I am now retired.
It does sound like the Magnetronhas broken down, however it could be other things in the Secondary (High Voltage Side). The High Voltage Side is made up of the Secondary HV side of the High Voltage Transformer, A High Voltage Diode, a High Voltage Capacitor, and the Magnetron. The High Voltage Side is DANGEROUS, and CAUTION should be taken to protect yourself against EXTREME HIGH VOLTAGE. unplug from power and DISCHARGE High Voltage Capaciton to frame GROUND before touching anything!!!!
