What Os do you have installed? At firs you must enter to BIOS power on your machine and press DEL button bios will show up, then enter INTEGRATED PERIPHERIALS then enter AC'97 AUDIO and if it has DISABLE across it press + and it will change with ENABLED then press F10 to save configuration. Then when software runs find Device manager and if audio ras "?" mark download and install audio drivers from

May be you haven't installed the driver for your built in sound card. You should have a CD (given when you bought your PC) that includes all the driver for your motherboard. Try to install it.
