No Display on connecting Data cable of PC

The monitor shows "No Input Signal" in dialogue box when the data cable is taken out. The Dialogue box moves all around the screen. However, once data cable is plugged into the pc the dialogue box disappears and the LED at the On/ OFF switch kepps blinking on and off without anything on the screen. The CRT screen display is black/ blank. Please suggest what could the problem be. The monitor is just 3 & 1/2 Yrs old.

Re: No Display on connecting Data cable of PC

The Monitor is bad, with the CRT Monitors you cannot just replace the connections, because it is embedded into the CRT. So it is probably something that lies with in the monitor itself. Try to connect another monitor to the device. See what the result is, my best guest is the CRT Monitor when bad. Time to replace! Sorry!

I just moved the computer and now the monitor says no signal??? Everything is exactly the same as before it moved.

Check that the "data" (not the "power") cable between the LCD monitor and the video-card output on your computer is tightly connected at BOTH ends of that "data" cable.

When i view pictures in windows 7 my monitor displays a yellowish background instead of white.

Color changes on the display mostly occurs because of a faulty VGA cable or a loose connection of the cable to the VGA port at the back of your PC or Monitor. But if the cable is fixed securely at the back and the problem still persists, slightly move the cable's wire segment while observing its reaction on your monitor. Does it change colors while u do so? If it does even when the cable is securely plugged in to both the PC and the monitor, then u need to change the cable.
As for the visible display area size (technically called the Resolution) right click on an icon free area on the desktop and click Properties. At the top of the form click on the Settings tab. At the bottom of this form find Screen Resolution and adjust it to it your requirements and click Apply. On the confirmation dialogue that pops up click Yes if the displayed resolution suits u otherwise click No and try another resolution size. Hope this helps.

Viewsonic vx2835wm monitor, in DVI mode connection, altough getting signal from the PC(Other monitor connected and tested for graphic card problem-No graphics card problem!!) , Prompts "No input-signal"...

You will need to change the resolution of the screen on the computer to 800-600 and the bit to 24bits or 16bits, to do this right click on the windows screen, and click properties, goto settings.
You should see a slider at the bottem left of the screen to adjust the resolution, and a drop down bar on the other side for the bit rate. This should solve the problem, also you could open the scond screen also in the display properties, and drag what you need to see on the screen to that screen, you will know what i mean when you open screen 2 it just expands the desktop. hope this helps.

Our computer screen will stay on for one second and then go black. Green button to signify it's on, is still showing, it simply goes black. What is happening and how can I fix it?

sir if u really love your computer, then take it to the nearest dealer. The problem is might be with the capacitors.

But my suggestion hence, is to isolate the power board (the one that has the socket for the power input), check if any of the capacitors (the tall cylindrical structures) have bulging tops, if they do, try to replace them (Novices please bear the polarity in mind when you play with capacitors) with ones with higher rated ones (especially the voltage rating, normally these would be rated for 25 volts, so try getting one that is one step higher.

Green light continously blinking in samsung sync master 753s

1. cpu problem. why because of there is no signal output from cpu to monitor. the led blinking means there is no vertical, horizontal signals from cpu to monitor.

2. your monitor connected to another system.

3. neck board dry points.

4. cheak the display cable. 13&14 pins are horizontal, vertical signals.1, 2, 3 pins , R G B , 6 ,7, 8 pins R G B ground ( coaxiler cable used , meshed wire is ground )

LG CB553H monitor has power and menu that sais no data. When I connect to a pc there is no display.

A monitor display showing "No Data" indicates that either the PC is not sending any usable video signal or the monitor is not capable of displaying the incoming video signal. To determine which is at fault, you would need either a known good second monitor or a known good second PC.

Additionally, it is also possible that neither is at fault and that you simply need to lower down the Screen Resolution and/or the Screen Refresh Rate of the computer's display properties to match the limitation/capability of the monitor. A method of verifying if this is the case is to start the PC in "Safe Mode" by pressing F8 after POST before Windows boot.

Alternately, there are some instances that it is the video cable that is the issue. To verify, you can try wiggling the cable to the connector end that goes to the PC's Video output.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Check signal message when data cable unplugged. blank screen when data cable plugged

This problem is most likely to be caused by a bent or broken pin on the CRT video cable at the VGA connector, OR, this could also be caused by a damaged VGA connector on the back of the laptop. If neither VGA connector is at fault, the problem could be caused a damaged (kinked) CRT data cable, or internal damage to the VGA connector on the back of the laptop, though I suspect the problem is more likely to be external, and you probably won't have to disassemble the laptop to locate the culprit...
