Every time i go and try to print something i get a paper jam error and every time its at the Vacuum transport belt (VTB) assembly so i opened up the front door and printed a page to see what it was doing, and it would get to the VTB and just sit there and not enter the fuser, and then it would error out with a paper jam error. so what would be causing this?
Check and adjust the paper thickness setting for the paper in use
there are at least 4 settings for paper on the market and from your description , the paper is too thick for the setting
Testimonial: "thank you i went through the menu 2 times and got the right weight and brightness set. you would have thought that for 20# paper and 88 bright normal setting on both type and weight be ok. guess ill remember that one."

Sounds like you may need to replace the pick up rollers on the machine. Without knowing exactly where the jam error happens during the print process, it's hard to say.

Repeated, Unexplained Paper Jams With Little or No Damage to the Paper
ID:ENUS5286
IMPORTANT: The printer
should rest on a surface that is flat, level, and uniform. This is for
safety reasons as well as for paper feed reliability.
In the bottom left corner on the front of the printer, as well as on
the duplexer and each paper feed option apart from the 2000-sheet
feeder, there is a shaft that rotates as the main drive motor in the
printer operates. The purpose of this shaft (called the Power Take Off
shaft) is to turn the pass-through rollers in the option below. The
Power Take Off (PTO) shaft rotates during the printer's POR as well as
any time the main drive motor turns, including while paper is feeding
from any source and when the toner is agitated in the cartridge.
If the printer is on an uneven or non-level surface, the PTO shaft
may not make full contact with the bevel gear on the lower options.
If the printer is on a surface that is not uniform (such as a
carpet or foam padding), the PTO shaft on the lowest option may
catch or bind, causing the paper feed operation to slow or stop
completely.
In either case, repeated and unexplained paper jams (with little or
no damage to the paper) may occur. The paper jam is due to the
increased amount of time it takes the paper to feed through the path
because the PTO shaft is bound or caught on the surface below, or is
slipping on the bevel gear.
NOTE: This is not a printer defect or failure although it may result in a broken or stripped PTO shaft.

SOURCE: paper jam. caused error print unable 30
"Machine Error 30" (or "Unable to Print") indicates either a simple problem such as a paper or part of a paper stuck inside the machine, which of course is solved by opening the machine as much as possible and remove the reason for the jam.
Even a ripped part of a paper will be able to cause the paper, so it's important to be careful when taking jammed paper out to not rip the paper (do this by carefully pulling the paper among the same way as it would go when printing, not the opposite direction).
However, if that doesn't work, the error is mechanical (but still most likely caused by the jam, either a sensor getting dirty and unable to do it's work, or actually getting broken), and there isn't much you can do. If the message comes back right after turning on the machine, you'll have to have service performed on the machine.

pleas try to use a plower to clean the paper way from paper tray to toner .
What this light sequence means that the printer has a paper jam.
When a paper jam occurs, the printer stops and the operator panel's Paper Jam light and Continue button lights come on. Press and release Continue twice quickly to display the specific secondary error paper jam light sequence.
How to clear Paper Jam
?· Press Continue button twice quickly to see the secondary error code.
To get the secondary error codes
?· When the Error light (!) and Continue button lights are both on, a secondary error has occurred.
?· When the Paper Jam light (4th light) and Continue button lights are both on, a paper jam secondary error has occurred.
?· Press and release Continue button twice quickly to display the secondary error code light sequence.
Press Continue button to resume printing once all the jammed pages are cleared from the paper path.
We recommend that you clear the entire paper path when a paper jam occurs.
To clear a paper jam:
1 If you are feeding paper from a tray, remove the tray, and then remove any jams.
2 Open the front cover and remove the print cartridge assembly.
NOTE: Do not leave the print cartridge assembly exposed to direct light for an Extended period of time. Extended light exposure can cause print quality problems.
3 Remove any jams in the area behind the print cartridge assembly.
4 Lift the flap at the front of the printer and remove any jams beneath the flap.
5 Open the rear exit and remove any jams.
6 After you have cleared the jams, reinstall the print cartridge assembly, make sure all printer covers and trays are closed, and then press Continue button to resume printing.
NOTE: The printer reprints the pages that caused the paper jam.
