Question about General Electric WSSH300G Front Load Washer
My washer will start the wash and go through the entire cycles until the spin cycle. The washer cannot spin because the water does not drain and the error code comes out as water in the drum. Is there a filter or something similar where I can pull out as I believe the drain may be clogged after checking the hose and everything else. I just can't seem to find the filter anywhere. Any answers are welcome.
My answer so far as that I have had to manually remove the excess water in the drum. Although the washer will spin once the water is gone, so the spin cycle functions properly. Only problem is the drain issue. Thanks in advance

If you unscrew the bottom front kick plate there is a black rubber piece to the right in front. In order to get to the filter make sure the washer has no water in it or it will spill all over the floor. The black rubber piece houses the filter. You need a phillips screwdriver to unscrew the clamp at the top of the black rubber piece. Once that is unscrewed you can pull it down and you'll see a white plastic filter inside. It is most likely clogged so it won't drain. When it is cleared it will work again. It is pretty easy but can be messy if there is water still in the drum. Just make sure that you put the rubber gasket back on with the clamp tightened.

Check your lid switch, and the strike, which is the other half of the switch, and is attached to the lid (the switch is on the machine).
