Try reseating the memory one stick at a time in each slot one at a time and make sure you turn on the laptop after each stick insertion. If the screen doesn't come on then go ahead and remove the battery, then the hard drive, then the cd drive and try turning on the laptop after each device removal.
If you still can't get video then that means the motherboard is bad.
