Clean the electrical contact of the cartridge AND the cartridge holder with a lightly moisten lint-free cloth. Use only water, not alcohol or solvents, dry up with a new cloth.
If contacts seems oxidized, use moderately a pencil rubber.
Do not rub nozzle plate ! You only can touch it with a heavy-moisten cloth in case of bad printing.
Generally the cartridge is refused by the printer because bad contacts OR bad cartridge chip, more rarely because bad carriage...
