I would not be too alarmed about this. Most refrigeration systems will drip water off of the condenser coils while in use. This can most often be seen by cars that appear to "leak" only when the a/c is on. All that this "leakage"is is condensation. This is the same reason that window air conditioners need to have a slight downward tilt to the outside. This is also why they unfortunately, often freeze up.

If you're only noticing leakage while the refrigerator is running then I would bet even money that this is what's happening especially if the refrigerator is still staying cold. Most normally this condensation is caught in a drip pan which lets the water evaporate. However, during periods of extended use, especially with periods of high humidity i.e. the summer, sometimes the condensation is higher than what the drip pan can hold and you get leakage over the sides.

Unfortunately while this is a relatively minor problem about the only way you are going to eliminate this is to install a dehumidifier in your home, or simply tolerate it for a month or so during the summer. I would bet dollars to peso's that after mid august this won't be a problem.

One thing to note however, is that if you start to see that it is running constantly, or if you notice that it's not keeping cool, then it may be time to call in a service person. But for your particular problem I don't think that will be necessary.

Actually a pretty common concern... second time in two hours I've seen it. :D

I fixed the problem on my Samsung RS2534WW today.

1) Remove the 3 drawers.
2) Remove the drawer covers/lids.
3) Remove the 2 screws holding the water
bottle (let the bottle hang).
4) Remove the 7 screws holding the lower
back panel in place (the top 2 and top
center screw are hidden)
5) Remove the panel.
6) Take a heat gun and flat blade screw
driver to the frozen area under the
evaporator.
7) Assemble everything back together.

It's not a condensation problem. I have the same issue with mine. Pull your 3 drawers out and you'll see that the water is dripping out from behind the panel on the back (directly behind the water storage bladder). Remove the two screws that secure the water bladder. You'll also see two screws at the bottom of the wall panel..remove those. There are two more screws up higher (recessed in hole) left and right side of panel. Remove those as well. That's as far as I am right now as we speak. I'm having problems removing the back panel...probably being just overly cautious with it. There is no other way into the inner workings of the fridge. You can't access anythign from the back of the fridge except the compressor and misc electrical. I'll post again when I get past this part.

Water leaks at bottom of fridge

The same thing happened to me then I noticed ice had formed at the bottom of our fridge. It was covering a drain hole so water was leaking out the front of fridge instead of going to the drain pan or wherever the hole goes. After I chipped out the ice and cleared the hole with warm water the leak stopped. I also fixed another leak coming from bottom of fridge caused by a loose brass connection on water line going to the door.

Hi,

One big question before you go hunting. Before you turn off the water, was the water running all the time? Meaning if the water had a continuos flow the leak is before the fridge. If the leak is erratic then its on the valve side to fridge.
Follow the water source in the fridge, supply line to water valve (bottom right behind the fridge), from there it should run straight up the back into the freezer. So, if the water is coming from the valve, replace it, if from the water line - replace it. If the water line came off or out of the freezer reconnect and check for a frozen fill tube.
I hope this information helps.

Depends if there is plastic tubing running inside fridge compartment. Shut off water to fridge. If that stops it you will have to look inside to see if there is visible plastic water tubing or if you can get to it from inside the fridge. Maybe the water line has a defect or got pinched and somehow split. Then turn on water, find leak and splice in a replacement section.

Water line for ice maker/cold water leaking underneath

Check your connection at the bottom of the freezer door, behind the kick plate. Also pull out your crisper drawers and check the cold water reservior. If this only leaks when the water dispenser is pressed I would try to track the line from the bottom of the freezer door back to where it goes into the refrigerator (behind the crispers) to the cold water reservior.
If you absolutely have to lay this fridge down lay it on it's BACK only. Also be sure to let it stand upright for at least a half an hour before you start it back up.
Good luck with this!!

Refrigerator is leaking/dripping clear water, but the ice maker lines have no leaks and it appears to be coming for the middle of bottom of the box somewhere.

You may have a leak from the water supply line that is attached to the fridge from the house hold line near the bottom right corner of the fridge.

Leak from bottom of fridge

Two things might be happening. One is the line to the fridge is leaking, this line come thru the floor or wall to the bottom and hooks up to a water valve, it may just need tightening. The other problem is you will have a hose that runs from the filter down in behind the crisper drawers to the bottom and coils up here to hold water for cold use. it then runs thru the bottom pan out to the front, to the bottom door hinge on the freezer side up the door to the dispencer. Check along the hose for a pin hole look at the bottom hinge area first, things bump into it here and can damage the plastic cover.

Samsung twin door fridge water leaking onto floor

I have a Samsung side by side - model RS253BAWW.

Water was leaking onto floor from main refrigerator, not freezer. It was determined to be a blocked defrost drain.

The repair technician removed the trays and food from fridge, remove the screws from the panel at back, disconnected everything and remove panel.
The stainless tray at bottom of fridge as well as panel itself had solid ice blockage.

He placed panel in sink and used something similar to a blow dryer with narrow hose on it to defrost both the panel and drain in fridge. Took him maybe 15 minutes and charged $99 total for the visit.

In future I will do this myself now that I know how but thought it may be useful information to others who are having similar problems.
