Question about ViewSonic Computers & Internet
They are static lines. They can be caused by a variety of reasons, damage to your monitor, damage to your vid card (perhaps it was got a little too hot?), ive seen this issue also with overclocked, try resetting to defaults if so. Also try reinstalling/updating your current display drivers. If you have an integreated video card it could be that your motherboard got hot and perhaps damaged it. If you have a spare vid card or something else you can hook up to try, and it still has the static lines, then it is your monitor for sure.

I have a westinghouse lcm-17v8, I have to turn brightness high to get rid of horizontal lines. Some times it would be just bright white when reboot computer. Turning it on and off a few times helps. Is it fixable or a gonner?
