Left phone in rain for 20 min. Very little moisture in phone and water marks untouched, but touch screen non responsive. Hard reset had no effect.

A phone in the rain for 20 mins is way more than enough time for it to get water inside. There still may be hope, but odds are against it. Turn it off now and take the battery out. Get a hair dryer and blow dry it for about 20 or 30 minutes. Don't over heat it, but keep it consistently hot the whole time. Let it cool and try it again. There is normally a white dot somewhere under the battery. If that dot has turned red, you definitely have water damage that voids any warranty you may have had. Good luck with the dryer.

Registration new water heater

Unknown brand and type water heater.
Tank, hybrid, solar-assisted, indirect, tankless, condensing, gas, electric, under-counter, RV, mobile home, etc?

1) Water heater warranty-coverage does not require registration of product. Usually the registration can take place at manufacturer's site, but not all sites have registration forms.

http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-electric-problems-with-water-heater.html#warranty
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-maintain-water-heater.html

2) Almost all water heater warranties cover original owner, one-family household installation, when product is installed according to product manual. SO if you register product, then move to new home and take expensive water heater with you, then the registration does not show new address, thereby voiding product warranty because it was relocated.

3) Warranties after first year usually cover parts and tank. Many warranties today are pro-rated, which means longer warranty is becoming almost valueless.

Just got soaked to skin in summer storm. Screen of mobile phone 0168 misted up, how do I dismantle to clean it

Dismantling the phone will void the warranty. Your best option is to take out the battery. Put the phone in a ziplock bag full of rice. Leave it overnight. The rice should absorb the water and moisture left in the phone.

Bought a new samsung wave 3 weeks ago went to charge it would not switch on again left battery out for 1full day it then powered up used it for another day or 2 went to charge it same problem.went back to...

Check the water damage indicators on the phone and battery. They are white stickers, and they will turn red if they have gotten damp or wet. Be aware that some phones can get water damaged from condensation, or being in a moist environment like a bathroom.

If the damage indicators are clear, they cannot prove that it has damage and you should take it back and talk to someone else.

Blackberry Pearl in water

The screen has been damaged internally. You also might have risked frying out the hardware with turning it on with the moisture still inside the phone. It also sounds like some of the moisture may still be stuck inside the phone which could cause the screen to have problems.

If you would like to try, you can take apart the phone to try and remove moisture that way. This guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQxMmsrnwfU will help you out in doing so. Also understand by taking apart the phone it voids any warranty. Yet since you dropped the Pearl in the water, its already out of warranty since the little water sensitive strips (inside and outside) the phone have been turned red which destroys the warranty.

Your best option is to just get the phone replaced because a phone never works the same after water damage.

Hope this helps;

Cell phone dropped in water - red dot showing - options?

you don't need to actually drop your phone in water for there to be water damage.
simple things like having your phone in the rain, in the bathroom while you shower, around a hot tub, or possibly even if it's really humid outside can set this water damage sensor off.
it just gives phone companies more ways to void your warranty.

hope this helped.

My phone is only showing a white screen. It wont react to commands like it should either.

well if u dropped the phone u may have to get it serviced. but if the phone just started to mess up, it may be a manufacturing defect and should be replaced immediately before warranty is void.

Turns on, but keypad doesn't work at all

If the phone is new, then it may be a DOA (Defective On Arrival). It's rare, but it happens that a piece of equipment is defective out of the box.

As long as the phone is within a year of the original purchase then your cell carrier should be able to do a warranty exchange at no cost (Verizon will do it in store if the store has a tech department, rather than mail you a new phone).

Be warned that if the phone shows any sign of physical damage, has been moved from one account to another, or shows some sign of tampering then your warranty may be void and you may be charged a fee to replace it!

Moisture under top screen

Well if it got in it will eventually come out. However it could takes weeks or even a few months for the condensation to completely go away.

If i were you i would open it up and dry it out but if you don't have the knowledge to do it or are just nervous to void your manufacturer's warranty then i'd just wait it out til it goes away.

One thing that may work. If you have a dehumidifier put it on top of it and turn it on. Dehumidifiers suck the moisture out of the air. It may work however i doubt it.
