First connect your router to computer with ethernet cable .
Then access it by following link
http://192.168.15.1

type user name as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password"

if you not able to access router with that ip you need to reset your router.
Press reset button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router.
then follow the upper instruction.

then go to wireless settings enable wireless.
Then if you want dhcp then enable it.
Also if you want wi fi security configure your router as WEP
then add wep key it is your password to connect from computer to router.

Go to intenret settings and set as your isp provides.

then connect cable from yourt isp and check.

My internet is greatly reduced with Belkin N1 vision wireless (before the hook-up it was 15mbps now only 5mbps), I have tested by hooking directly from the modem to the computer and got 15mbps. Before N1,...

When you only get 5 mbps are you connecting to the new router wirelessly or via the ethernet cable? If it is wirelessly then try connecting with an ethernet cable and see if you still get 5 mbps. If so then try resetting the router (the procedures for this will be explained in the manual) and re-test. Wireless connections can slow down due to obstacles such as thick walls or other obstacles of that type. If all else fails return the unit and try another.

How do I hook up a G wireless router to my h/p computer

The usual setup is to connect your internet cable or dsl model to the WAN port on your wireless router. any devices that were formerly connected to your cable/dsl modem then get connected to the LAN ports on your router. You will need to connect to the wireless router via etehrnet cable the first time in order to setup your wireless connection, it's usually a simple setup following the prompts.

Belkin G Wireless Router Connection problem

Sounds like a faulty router or issue with the firmware if it is unaccesible, your best solution is to factory reset the device and try again.

Trying to hook up belkin wireless router to cable modem and don't know how the hook-up should be

Hello,

If you have your pc connected directly to your broadband modem through the ETH/LAN port on your pc then disconnect it from that port on your PC.

Then connect the same cable to your Belkin Routers Internet/WAN port. Then take the extra cable that came with the Belkin router and connect it to 1 of the 4 lan ports on the Belkin router. Then connect the other end to your PC in the LAN port.

After that, restart your PC and everything should be fine.

Thanks
