Question about Soyo SY-P4i865PE Plus Dragon 2 Pentium 4 800FSB Mainboard w/ SATA Retail Box (MBSK478SYP4I865P) Motherboard

No video at all. Soyo dragon 2 SY-P4I865PE Plus

No video at all. Hold insert key, reset bios, swap AGP card, no help. PCI Video card? New MoBo?

I do not hear a proper post either even when running bare bones.

I have no on integrated video and no current way to bypass the AGP slot.

It may be your RAM. Try using only one RAM card at a time and keep switching them until you figure out which one it is. Otherwise, you could try a PCI graphics card, but you would have to change the settings in the BIOS so it knows to use the PCI card instead of the AGP.

You can also check to make sure the processor is in it's socket correctly.

Finally, if you can, try the components with another motherboard to see if it is the motherboard.

I hope this helps :)

Best Regards,

Check bios, memory, or the jumper setting r in the right way or inserted properly or remove all the cards one by one except the video card and try again. every one card remove turn of and on then you can see the problem ok

The system powers-up, but no video, or beeping sound heard. the cpu fan is turning. Soyo SY-P4I865PE Plus Dragon 2 V1.0

If you hear the windows chime during bootup then it will be a video problem. 1.) Swap the power cord from the computer to the monitor and vice versa 2.) If computer still working then try a different monitor, 3.) Replace the video card. Hope this helps, Best Regards, -md

SY-P4I865PE + Dragon 2 v1.0 locks up while running XP with 3.0E P4

I would say ram. Most the time you have lockups is because of a bad ram address. The system will run for a while till you fill up enough resources to reach the bad ram address then the system will lock up. The funny part of your problem is that it doesn't happen with the other CPU. But I don't think the DDR400 ram was designed to be used in systems with a Prescott CPU. The motherboard may accept the ram and the CPU's all right but the Prescott was a pretty powerful CPU for it's time and I think most of the systems it was designed to run in used a lot faster ram.
