Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Selection Wheel Jumpy

The wheel on the front of the Sansa E260 that you use to make selections has become almost unusable. The slightest movement of the wheel will cause the player to jump past menu items that you are trying to select. Is there some way to alleviate this problem?

Re: Selection Wheel Jumpy

Unfortunately its just the way the earlier models were made.

If its less than 1 year old, you can have SanDisk replace it.

They wont ask for a receipt, so its up to you to be honest. ;0)

Best of Luck.

MY sansa e260 MP3 player

Try to add the device manually.

Plug the player in while it’s set to "MTP" mode. (This selection is in the Settings area)

On your computer, open Device Manager, and select: Add Hardware.

Choose the "already connected the hardware" option.

From list, choose "Add a new hardware device".

Select: "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list."

Select: Portable Devices, then MTP device.

Hope it works for you.
