Question about Computers & Internet

"burn "burn" flashing at bottom of monitor menu - also, screen saver that says "burning" and alternates between, red, green, blue comes on when left idle

The monitor works fine and is connected to the computer. The only time the "burning" thing comes across the screen is when the screensaver kicks in (or when I pull up the menu for the monitor).

Dclcd monitor

Seems the screen resolution of your pc is high (higher than your monitor can support). You may lower the resoltion by connecting your pc to another monitor temporarily and changing settings then.

I have a 24in wide lcd monitor for my computer and

mcdevito75 here, The red power light usually means the monitor is off, if when you press the red button it turns to green, or blue then the red power button means the monitor was off. Your monitor could be burned out.

When you turn on the TV the screen flashes through a sequence of red, green, blue, white & black screens. Unable to access menu & no sound. TV Model LG 27LC2D

Sounds like it's in a service burn-in mode. LGs need a service remote to de-activate. Probably easy for a local LG shop.

46 toshiba plasma has red tint in back ground

If you can see the red tint with every input source and also in the On-Screen Menu, then this indicates that the Green phosphor is burning off of the screen faster than the Red and Blue. This is typical of plasma screens. Even if you dont watch a lot of golf or football, green is the most dominent color and burns out of the phosphur pits(pixels) faster than the Red and Blue. Take away green, you are left with Reddish looking screen and Pink whites. This is not repairable.
If the Menu looks nice and white, check your source cables.
Good luck

When pc left on after 15 minutes the screen keeps changing colours from reds /greens /greys/blues constantly is this normal

Maybe this is a Screen Saver, set to start after 15 minutes. Open up Control Panel then Appearance and Personalization, then Screen Saver to check on this and perhaps choose a more pleasant screen saver.

"monitor has a green tint AOpen f2915"

moz-screenshot.png The solution: a hidden menuwithin the main menu itself. Hold the Menu button down while pressing Power topower on, and release power button only when the screen comes up, still holdingthe menu button. The menu will appear and there will now be a hidden selection,"Auto Color", printed in a red-on-black font at the bottom of themenu. Use the +/- buttons to access it, and press Menu. My green/yellow tintwent away! Now my picture works great, and the setting lasts throughAuto-Adjusts and Resets!

No 'green' light on bacl of my 'old' Vivitar 285

Then I'd say it's a reasonably sure thing that the green light is just burned out, The lights are supposed to be off at first, then red when there's a partial charge, then green when there's a full charge, then flashing between red and green when the "battery saver" kicks in. If you're seeing off, then red, then off, then flashing red, then that means everything in the charging circuit is working perfectly, there's just no green light.
