No transmission in lxt114

Midland lxt114 Walkie talkie. I have tried changing batteries. Sometimes the defective set shows continuous RX. When it is not showing Rx it does transmit sometimes only. Very disturbing

SOURCE: Constant RX mode on Cobra Microtalk Walke Talke

I have the same walkie talkies and on mine I can hold down the mode/lock button and it will come off of the Rx mode. Also, you should be able to press the talk button and it will come off of the Rx mode.

SOURCE: Constant RX mode on cobra microtalk PR3850WX

Sounds like the radio was subjected to electrostatic discharge. If you have your manual, and it describes a way to do a "master reset" on the radio, follow the instructions. This usually involves pushing down on one key while turning the radio on. Otherwise you have to find a licensed dealer for factory service, as there is no way to repair the radio yourself. The use of surface mount technology still confuses many Techs unless they have been to a company's two or three week seminars.

One walkie talkie has static on every channel

It sounds like your monitor button is stuck and you are hearing the white noise. Try pressing the monitor button on your other radio and see if the noise is the same. If so, your button is stuck. If not...
Sometimes a lot of static can be an indication of a bad or poorly charged battery. To check for this trade batteries with your known good radio and see if it solves the problem.

Constant static midland walkie talkie

Doesn't it have a squelch adjustment?(it allows you to adjust sensitivity of the "gate" on the receiver).Turn the knob counter-clockwise until it just goes quiet. The receiver will be silent until a transmission is detected.

One of my walkie talkie has an RX on the display and you can send but you cannot hear the other person. How can I remove the RX as that seems to be the only difference in them. Thank you

depending on what radio you have, they are programmed in different ways, rx means recieve signal

and tx means transmit signal, if you have a mode button, you will have to scroll through it until you

get to the menu that allows you to change the radio transmission. it looks like that radio is only

programmed to receive signals and not transmit. good luck!

One of my midland lxt 420 walkie talkies wont charge!!!!!

If it has rechargable batteries in it like mine does, the batteries have probably lost all of its life.. you can replace them.. if you dont have batteries, you could have a loose wire inside the walkie talkie that wont let it charge..

Low battery icon on Midland LXT350 walkie-talkies

Your LXT350 is equipped for using an optional rechargeable NiMH battery pack which can be recharged by inserting the AC adapter into the radio charge jack, or with the optional desktop charger.

I would make sure the radio is off, then insert the charger. Charge only for the prescribed time (no more/no less) and remove from the charger.

Charge time is initially 24 hours. Charge time is about 12 hours thereafter. For maximum battery life, it is recommend charging the battery pack when the low battery icon comes on. Remove the radios from the charger when the charge time expires.
