Sounds like your hi-limit switch (contacts welded themselves)if its as hot as you say it is and wont shut off heat.or the clothes setting temp sensor is faulty

Dryer is new but only gets warm

Sometimes there is a switch for low heat - for delicates or synthetics and a high heat for cottons and linens.

Or there may be an ECO setting to dry clothes using less power but over a longer period of time.

Make sure the correct setting is chosen.

If this does not help, return it for a replacement as it is new. Do not accept a fix on the existing dryer.

You have rights as a consumer. A dryer that does not dry properly is not of merchantable quality.

Dryer lost heat

This may be a heating element issue.
If you want to do a few things before calling someone, you would want to start by making sure all of your dryer settings are set correctly. Some dryers have "air" settings or "delicates" settings. These settings are going to be very low heat so the clothes are not ruined.

Also make sure that the lint screen has been cleaned each and every time you have started a new load. If not, you can UNPLUG the dryer, pull the dryer out and with some simple tools, take the back off and vacuum what you can get to. If it's very dirty you'll want to call a professional. You'll need it cleaned and your problem diagnosed. If cleaning the lint screen is not something you have done on a regular basis, then please start. This could be a fire hazard if it is not cleaned regularly.

Another thing to check is your vent or vent hose. Depending on how your set up is, if your hose is crimped behind the dryer and the heat can't escape, the clothes will not be able to dry. This would only be something if you have some heat but clothes are not drying. Also, sometimes due to the age of the hose, previous use, not cleaning the lint screen, etc, the venting from the house to the outside could be clogged. Again, there will be some heat, but the clothes will seem to take forever to dry.

Good luck.

Dryer not drying

Hello Tony Palow - Have you recently cleaned the ducting? Confirm that it doesn't have any debris or build up. Try reprogramming the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the unit still does not dry, I would recommend contacting a professional to proceed further since it could be any one of several underlying causes. Most than likely the dryer has a faulty control board, heating element, blower assembly, thermostat, sensor or damaged cord.

Dry is not getting clothes dry. I have checked the vent, filter and taken off the front cover and completely cleaned inside but still clothes are not dry. They get hot but not dry.

can be 2 different issues, a clog in your vent pipe or your heat coil is failing, on some models you have a low and high heat coil, sounds like you high coil burned out and just the low coil is working, or your temp switch has failed

Dryer not heating as it should. Gets warm, but takes several cycles to dry clothes

Could be 2 things... either your heat source is out of repair or your vent is blocked. Since you say it only gets warm I'll assume the problem is with the gas coils inside the unit. These parts are replaceable

Dryer does not get hot enough to dry clothes Roper REX4634KQ1 Electric Dryer

Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it
