Use a small paper clip and just to the side of the connection for the usb port on the player, you will see a little hole.... only large enough for a small needle...or a small paper clip end.. stick it in there and push one time.. and you will either feel it click or hear a click and your player screen should go blank.. you just reset the program in your player and this should solve your problem.

Tv screen turns black and red when playing through pioneer receiver

Usually when I hear of solid colors that display on a TV, my first solution would be to change the cable. We know your DVD player is working as you connected it straight to your TV and you report no problems. I assume you are using a composite cable (red, white, and yellow) Red and White being the Audio and Yellow your video.

But since your player works...and your tv works under the same input, then the only other issue would be the output cable from the receiver or the actual composite input or output connector is faulty.

try a video game system in place of the dvd player through your receiver..if it happens again, then change the receiver's output cable...if it still persists then your reciever's output connector is faulty.

I hope this helps.

TV MODEL 2168B DISPLAYS DVD FILM IN BLACK/WHITE..WHY?

If it's connected via SCART, check the cable is connected both sides. If this doesn't fix the problem, try a different cable. If this still doesn't fix it, it will be a fault with your dvd player.

Turntable doesn't play at volume of other components. seems muted. Do I need to install a pre-amp in line?

"PHONO" is the only designated connection on an audio device that is literal and exclusive. Nothing but PHONO will work right on it and old-school turntables would require it to preamplify the tiny current produced by a Phono cartridge.
If your unit doesn't have a PHONO connection you will have to get a Phono Preamp to connect between the TT and any Line Level input, like Aux.

Noise coming out of speakers connected to Denon AVR 1908

Check for nearby wireless devices and move them away. -If the audio output from the source device (i.e. DVD, CD player) is digital (i.e. PCM, DTS or Dolby Digital) you're on your own. I'd be willing to bet the output is analog (red and white RCA), because the "beeps" and "exploding sounds" you describe seem like it could be caused by interference. Try replacing the cables. Otherwise the issue is probably with your receiver.

When watching a movie, my receiver will shut off

The only thing you can do in this case is reduce the volume, or connect speakers requiring less power to run them.
