Use Clothes line rope and tie off at eye let and run rope as it was before and it will work fine. You can also make your new rope as long or short as you perfer.

When you assemble the Recoil Starter, push it down onto the blower easily and then pull the cord slowly. It should drop into position as you slowly pull the cord.

#pp5020av pull cord

The length of the Starter pull cord is 40"
It can be purchased at www.ereplacement parts.com

I have no affiliation with this site or company. They simply have great prices and also list exploded views of this saw and others.

I have a Poulan PRO LINK PP 335 and the pull rope is only coming out about 8 inches. It's stuck...what should I do?

Remove the starter and pull the cord, if the cord still only comes out so far it is either the cord is too short ( replace the cord ) or the rewind spring is coil bound ( release some of the tention )

The pull cord on my poulan pro weedeater will not

You have a broken recoil spring. Dis-assemble (pull-off) the recoil housing and check for proper dog alingnment, broken spring, or something jammed between recoil sprocket and engine block.

Jammed pull cord on Poulan P4018 chainsaw!

There maybe a split pin holding the cover down over the spindle! Not too sure, but possible. Could be pushed down the centre, just a case of having a good look. Only really worked with Hurqvarna's and Makita's. Hope it helps. Good Luck

To get to the starter rewind, you have to pull off the clutch hub and clutch. Without the proper tools, it would be best to take it to a shop. Dwain
