SOURCE: tv will not power up

If it's failing to turn on, the main power supply is probably at fault and without some technical background and a couple of test instruments, you will not be able to do the repair yourself.
What you can do though is; unplug the set, let it stand overnight or at least several hours, remove the back panel and look for a separate board with mostly larger components on it; it will have a ferrite core (no laminations as with a line-frequency part) transformer on it and several larger capacitors which are cylindrical and mounted vertically to the board.

Before touching anything inside, especially on that board, allow several hours to be safe since the larger capacitors can hold a painful voltage charge for some hours.

If you see signs of overheating such as discoloration of the board material, it may not be repairable but if you can find a part number on the board, you might be able to buy the power supply and install it yourself but it will likely have the same problem eventually unless they have altered the design.
If there are no signs of heat damage to the board, there may be companies offering to repair it as a subassembly instead of repairing the whole set which could be much more expensive.
If you choose to replace or have it done, the power supply still may not be at fault since most are capable of switching on and off if a downstream problem is causing an overload.

SOURCE: Blinking power supply LED

Your power supply is fried. I had the same problem with my Bestec ATX 250 power supply. I fixed the problem by installing the StatTech model: ATXPOWER250. It was easy to install and works well. It is almost identical to the original but more quiet. I got it for $29 at MicroCenter.com. Also at online Newegg.com, Radioshack.com, Provantage.com, June 20,2009

SOURCE: tv won't turn on 4 blinking led

Hi,
Red led blinks 4 times is an error code that shows that fan is not running in tv, check fans connections and make sure all are plugged properly.
Thanks.

Going to need more information to help much, what do the various power board rails look like?...are they all good?

Going by the fact this set has had a lot of main board failures I'd lean towards that board but its just a guess without knowing some voltage measurements

My TV is a LG 47LN5700-UH I had a lightning strike near the house. Afterward TV would start but not boot completely. Now it won't start at all. Cable box also got fried at the same time.

The led driver AND the T-con board are bad. If you could see a picture with the flashlight then the T-con board would be good. It is not. The led driver can be on the main board or the power supply board. You can get these parts from here: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy

LG 42LN5400-UA.BUSYLHR back lights not working, sound working, flashlight test shows video working.

This is a common problem for LG 42LN5xxx & 47LN5xxx LED TVs, the problem is defective LED back lights strips, it has nothing to do with main power supply & the main board.

Ive got a LG 55" LED tv model #55LA6200 it will turn on and show the LG screen then goes black after a few seconds. Audio works and i can see the screen with flashlight which part do i need.

This could be the power supply at 55 dollars or the LED back light strips that are about 80. Unless you know how to test them, it is a toss up. Most of the time it is the led strips though. http://www.shopjimmy.com/lg/55la6200-ua

Audio is fine. Why did picture suddenly go black?

The board that controls the back light for the screen is called an inverter board. Sometimes, depending on the model , the inverter is combined with the power supply board. Go here to find the parts :www.shopjimmy.com

Lg 50LN400-ua is the led driver on the power board

The power supply has the LED driver circuitry built in. I would suggest to measure the voltages without the LEDs connected to the power supply, if the voltages are present without the LEDs connected then you have a defective LEDs strips inside the panel. If the voltage is low or absent, the power supply should be replaced.

Tv want turn on so i install power supply board and it still want come on

Good day!!!!

I need to know if the LED lights ON or blinking if that so how many blinks?

If you have multimeter kindly try this procedure:
  1. Open the back cover.
  2. Look at the power supply board.(it is usually connected directly to the power cord)
  3. Get your multimeter (range in DC).
  4. measure all output to the power supply such as 5vdc,3.3vdc,12vdc,etc..It is usually indicated on the power supply output connector.
  5. Place your black test probe to the ground and the red one is for the positive voltage as stated above and also measure VS and VA voltage..
Then let me know what are the readings of all voltages together with the original voltage marked on those voltages..
