I have a Malber WD1000 that required slamming the door pretty hard to start. I turned off the machine while in the dry cycle and now the machine will not start at all. The light does come on though.

I did turn the dryer nob to the cool down position, but it will not start. I was told that it might be require a new door latch.

Yes .....definitely,slamming doors is not a good idea it could be the door switch or the handlehook

The interlock is going, Ifr you want to repair Unplug machine. open door and remove just the front part of the door seal, theres probably a metal band around it. where the door catch closes you will see two screws, remove these keeping you other hand around the back, behind screws holding the plastic interlock, there will be three wires attached to this or a plug remove these, remembring where they go, and take the interlock to the local shop. they cost no more than 20 pound

SOURCE: I have an Aquarius WMA36

Check the pump, machine is probably not emptying.
From the bach remove the middle lower panel.
Pump is to the right, drain any excess water by lowering the outlet hose to the floor and syphen off the water into a bowl.
Isolate the supply.
Disconnect the plug (2wires) from the pump.
The pump has a clip at the base allowing it to be withdrawn.
Unclip the large hose from the drum and remove the pump.
Check inside the large hose for debris, check inside the pump for debris, pump is easily split if required using a TORX screw driver. refit in reverse.

SOURCE: EuroTech EWC177 washer/dryer combo reset

tinaheinleHello
Welcome to fixya.
I'm Huuum and happy to assist you,

You said, ..well this is a solution.....
my roommate unplugged the machine while it was drying. the start and spin lights were both flashing. I called the company and they told me to reset it, but the weren't sure how, lol.
I unplugged it and waiting, nothing. I flipped the breaker, nothing. I finally turned it to a setting, and turned on nob on the dry, and it started clicking.
I turned off the dry, and hit the start button, and it started right up...

If the next time you use it and it's fine then you did succeed in resetting the system and will be alright!
Let me know that we were successful!

Please remember to leave a rating before you go!
Thank you

SOURCE: "cooling" display won't turn off causing heating problems.

Try cleaning off the two curved metal bars (about 4 inches long) on the inside near the lint filter. They are what senses the moisture on automatic dry. When you use fabric softener sheets, the stuff from the fabric softener sheets can coat the bars, which makes the dryer think the clothes are already dry, and puts the dryer into cool down. (using time dry will also take the moisture sensor out of the cycle, if you'd like) This should be a Fix-Ya for your problem.

Malber WD1000 wont condense the water that is fed through during the drying cycle

Since it drains properly during the wash cycle, we know the drain pump and its impeller (propeller) work, and the coin trap (you called it a filter) and hoses are not clogged. By the way, turning the rightmost knob to "4" will start the pump-out cycle, so you don't have to open that trap-door at the bottom. To condense, the machine needs COLD water (spritzing on an internal screen) during drying. Make sure your cold water hose is connected to the outside (outboard) connection on the back of the machine. As a long shot: If the gray drain hose is pushed too far down into your home's drain pipe (more than 8") there could be a "back-siphon" where dirty water siphons back into the washer. It's a long shot, but it does happen.
Lastly, the controller board (mounted at top of right side) could be bad, and not sending on-off commands to the pump during drying. During drying, the drain pump should cycle on and off constantly, every few minutes. Do you hear it running? If you remove back (about 12 Torx screws), at your lower left you will see the pump. There are only 2 wires (120 VAC) and they can be connected either way. Stick a meter on the terminals and see if power is cycling on and off. If not, the controller board is bad.
You can order one from Malber (in NYC) by calling Nancy at 516-323-5299. Tell her Mike, in Wash. D.C., says hi.

Call in the troops! You need to have the controller panel opened and checked for excessive lint and dirt. There is a short or two in that mess!

Malber combo doesn't start

This problem is usually the front door latch "interlock" is not engaging. This is the safety device which keeps you from opening the door and pouring gallons of water on your feet. When you close the door, if the machine DOESN'T recognize it's closed - all electricity is cut off and the machine does nothing. If the machine DOES recognize the door is latched, the latch will lock and you can't open the door (for about 90 secs after you turn it off or unplug it). Does the door LOCK when it's closed? If not, just close it harder several times. A medium "slam" almost always takes care of a "sticky" interlock - and it doesn't hurt anything.

Hi, How do I open the door on a Malber wd1000 when is it stuck after the cycle is over?

Some machines require it to be empty of water to allow the door to open.Try dropping the drain hose low into a bucket to allow it to open, then clean the filter as it may be blocked causing this problem... Good luck

Dry cycle

Try setting the washer dial to the stop setting at the end of setting number 4 then set the dryer timer and turn on the machine.  This works for mine to get the dryer to run by itself.  It should begin about 30 seconds later, when the door locks.  Hope this helps.
