SOURCE: IR codes???

I think that you need brand codes for any piece of equipment which you want to control with your universal remote.

Codes universal remote will any universal remote work on my system

Most universal remotes have many codes for many manufacturer's products stored in them. They may not have the exact code for your device, but they probably have codes that will work most of the functions of your device. If you'd like one that has direct mapping to keys, you'll need a learning remote. These remotes allow you to point your remote's IR emitter at the learning remote's IR emitter/receiver and map any or all of the buttons to the buttons you choose. On mine, I created a spreadsheet ahead of time that shows what buttons are mapped to which commands.

My Bose V30 system with the RCV1T-27 remote wont send the IR signal to my Motorola DCT 6416 if im not standing right in front of the Bose display unit. The light on the display still blinks as if its...

Check the cells in the battery compartment of your remote control handset. Replace it with new ones and check. Still you poise this problem, the intensity of infrared rays come from your remote control, or the sensitivity of the infrared sensor inside your bose front panel system may have the trouble. Just replace the infrared LED of your remote control with an other one of same type. If it does not helps you, repalcing the infrared sensor will reftify your problem. OK.

I have a Panasonic home theater and am looking for a code that will work with either a starchoice IRC 550 or shaw direct ir/rf 600 remote
This is the manual for the irc 550 ..and in the manual you have the codes for audio (cd ) which I believe to be the ones you need to use..They are on the end of the manual ..But ! If you read the manual carefully you see that it actually can pick-up the codes automatically if you follow certain programing procedure.described in the manual ..

How do i get my Bose Lifestyle remote to control

call bose tech support and register your lifestyle system with them, they in turn will start sending you update CD's those CD's may include the new IR databases that would help you find the right code. the other alternative is to call VIaSat and find out what brand's IR codes they are using( and in the IR menu on the bose try that brand's codes) A lot of manufacturers will use the codes from Motorola(worth a shot) the alternative option is to program a universal remote to control your bose, and all your equipment (if your equipment is hidden in a closet, get an RF remote, I program these for my clients all the time (for their bose systems))

Should work, though. This will provide a power toggle function to the Power key.

Use red numbers for the red OK/Select button remote, grey numbers for grey button remtoes.
Temporarily assign setup code 30842 or 0842 to AUX
1) Tap AUX
2) Press Setup until 2 blinks
3) Enter 30842 or 0842The remote should blink twice

Assign NEC1 IR protocol device 210, subdevice 108, function number 203 to Power (you don't need to understand these numbers)
1) Press Setup until 2 blinks
2) Enter 994 (2 blinks)
3) Tap Setup
4) Enter 00051
5) Tap Power (not All On)
The remote should blink twice

Assign setup code 30135 or 0135 to AUX (this is NEC1, 210.109)
1) Tap AUX
2) Press Setup until 2 blinks
3) Enter 30135 or 0135
The remote should blink twice

Marantz NR1501 issue: Sound output has stopped for everything except radio. All other sound has stopped. It worked fine until recently. We do have a four yr old though, who might have pressed remote control buttons messing with settings, possibly. But I have tried playing with settings (and downloading manual, here: but to no avail. The amp is connected to both Blueray (IN) and TV (OUT) via HDMI cable. I have checked that audio from the blueray works fine (when connected directly to TV). When output via the Marantz n1501 amp, the video image works fine on the TV(via HDMI), but there is no sound from the speakers... I checked volume, mute, various other settings. We have four speakers connected currently. No centre at this stage, but I reconnected one speaker to centre pins just in case it was only coming through the centre speakers for some reason, but still no luck. Same issue for DVD and Wii, incidentally (all DVD input, I think). On a separate (I think) issue, I can't seem to get it to go into standby mode. It generates quite a bit of heat overnight, and so we have to switch it off completely, which means I would need to change the settings every time so that sound came out of all four speakers (it would revert to just two speakers after every time I switched it off). Anyway, this is probably a moot point, because currently there is zero sound from the amp altogether.
