Question about Logitech X-230 Computer Speakers

1 Answer

Right speaker without controls has stopped working.

I have had these speakers for over a year now didnt have any problems with them until recently when the right speaker without the volume control switch had stopped working. However, the other one seems to be working fine and the subwoofer seems fine aswell. Any suggestions as to why this happened?.. Thanks

Plese change the wires and try the permutation and combinations.this wil lead to find out if the fault is in wire or in the port. this is purely a hardware fault.

Left computer speaker is unpredictable

Take no offense but after 8 years, you got your moneys worth. Unless you're good with the soldering iron and schematics, call it a great investment and update your speaker system. I imagine your computer is newer than the speakers and you can take advantage of some 5.1 surround sound! It's really great if you do any gaming, too.
Since you'll probably be getting rid of them anyway, you might want to crack it open and see if there's any loose wiring that can be fixed.
Thanks for using Fixya.com. Please rate this tip accordingly. I wish there was a better solution but I usually get 5 years out of mine so I feel jealous. :-)

It may be the speakers are going bad or you may need to update your sound card drivers.Try going to your setting for your sound and make sure the settings are correct.Make sure they are set for laptop stereo speakers with full hardware control.

Subwoofers not working on Logitech R-20 speakers; worked until recently

There must be a control on subwoofer, like a volume control. Turn it and check it. Also check the connections.

Left Speaker Stopped Working

I think I had a similar problem. My speakers were brand new and after a while I lost my front left and rear left speaker. I'm not sure about you guys but after fiddling around with the settings it worked after I changed the "S/PDIFoutput sample rate" from 48 to 96 khz. I have no clue what I did, but it worked for me. I am running logitech something or rather speakers with VIA HD audio deck drivers

No right output

When you say it didnt switch when changing cables?? Well if you have no output on the right speaker and you put the left speaker on and still had no output then its your speaker as the problem should have switched from right to left if the problem is in the reciver. Now you could check and see if there are any bent control shafts as this is common durring a move and that would account for the problem or there are internal speaker fuse that may have popped out but this ones doubtfull, or the preamp or main amp printed cuircut board has a crack in them?? If you checked all mof these and need assistance with this repair you can go to the manufactures website to see how and where you can send or take the unit for repair.
