Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Thank you for your satisfactory assistance with another problem with this printer of 2-3 days ago which I payed for. As I posted to you- I had forgotten to confirm that the developer cartridge had been replaced. Now I have another problem When I print black text there is always a set of about 6 horizontal fine lines of 1/4 inch or less in length, at several places on the lower half of the left side of the printed page. In addition, there is a patch of size 3/8in wide and 1/2in long, of fine horizontal light and dark fine black lines 1+1/8 inch from the left of the page and 1 in from the bottom of the left page. On repeated printing the fine horizontal lines remain the same. When I print something with colors, fine colored lines are added. Please advise

Have you tried cleaning the printer head? There must be an ink which has been hardened and stayed there. Try cleaning it with a cotton ear bud with small amount of water.

What printer brand and model are you having problems with?

Why my milestones and ranking level keep reducing back to level 1 even though i have crossed it long ago?

Dear Uttamjeet Chadha,

Is it possible that you have more than one Fixya account?

If you use different accounts, maybe when using different computers and/or browsers, you may be earning points under different accounts.

If this is the case, I can merge your accounts.

I suggest that you will contact me directly at: and I will gladly help.

When I attempt to copy a document-8in. X 11in- and have the copy menu set to -"original size auto detect, the printer persistently prints a smaller document size, usually 4" X 5". I have...

Try to reset your Lexmark X4650 settings to factory defaults. On the printer operator panel, press Setup -> select Defaults -> select Set Default -> select Use Factory -> press OK. Then try to make a copy again.
I hope this information has been helpful. Thanks.

Model 106.57789704 - ice wont release into door bin

This probably is not what you wanted to hear but... I recommend you to the human manual defrost method to free things up as a result of the ice that built up post power failure. That somewhat messy method being:

1. Unplug the unit.
2. Remove Freezer contents (You do not need to empty fresh food contents)
3. Place a fan blowing into the freezer section for around 2 hours. (Messy part so be ready to tend to the drips with rags & mop)

4. Take a rag or sponge and remove most of the water out of the ice maker as best as you can after the manual defrost.
5. Completely empty the ice bin of all ice or water paying particular attention to the auger making sure there is no ice at all in the auger.
6. Plug in the unit.
7. Reload Freezer contents.

This should get things back to normal. If not there is much more that can be attempted. At this time I really believe that the above procedures will normalize your unit. If and when you need more assistance just respond here I and I will gladly assist you.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

When I wantb to print from a web site it isn,t working even though 2 days ago it was. It seems like it,s not configuring right.

Open the menu toolbar in your browser and use the page setup and print preview buttons to check the settings you have for printing. If you're printing from within an email program, for example, look for a printer icon within the browser window that will give you a printer ready document instead of trying to print the html page from the File>Print command.
If that's not doing it, please have a look through these articles from the HP support site for your model, here, here, here, and here. Other resources are available here.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
