Question about Garmin StreetPilot c510 Deluxe GPS Receiver
I updated my garmin to 6.00 and i turned it off and now it wont turn on again. it had a full charge and everything? please help
SOURCE: garmin c510 software update
You don't say if you tried resetting the 510 after the update.
To do a reset remove the grey faceplate trim piece. Along the right side of the screen there is a reset button. Press the reset button then plug the 510 into a power supply. The 510 should automatically power up and reboot.
It's possible that the update was corrupted when it was downloaded, or there is a problem with the processor. If you can't get your GPS to reboot, your PC wont recognise the GPS and you'll probably have to send the unit out for service.
If you have already tried the reset please rate as "thanks for trying"

SOURCE: New Maps - Can't update unit
The new maps will be unlocked to your GPS using the code Garmin supplied you.
You will have to add these maps to a second SD card if your present card is full, or else purchase a larger card. Since all the Mapsource NT 2008 Europe maps are 1,395MB in size, you'll need to purchase at least a 2GB SD card.

You can try the nüMaps Guarantee. It will give you free map update for 60 days after registering your unit.
Check it out here.
Now, you can get map updates from Garmin only as there are no longer free maps except if offered.
