Question about Lands Phones
When I first st up magic jack it sounded amazing so I had a plan to set up a server and replace my Vonage account. I used it on several different PC's and it always worked perfect. This amazing sound went on for about 2 or 3 weeks. Then I started having slightly choppy sound. Then it just kept getting worse. I chatted with tech support at MJ and went round and round applying the same fixes over and over with about 6 different technicians including advanced support. They walked me through changing all kinds of settings and registry entries, rebooting my pc, modem and router as well as installing the DIVX codec. ......... all this even after I explained the problem happens on any pc and on any OS. The problem persisted. I just got frustrated and gave up. Then the next morning I tested it and to my surprise, amazing sound again. I called support and demanded an explanation but they just BS'd me about it. They apparently had no clue. So I thought, well they must have fixed it on their end but they won't tell me what they did. Then I used it later on in the morning and it sounded choppy again, so choppy in fact yoI could not even use it. I concluded it is a traffic issue with their servers. My Vonage phone ALWAYS works perfect no matter what time of the day you use it. The choppy sound problem is obviously a Magic Jack server issue.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

You can set the priority on the process to high by going to task manager, sometimes it can be too much ram usage by other programs for example Anti-virus or something running in the background.
To set Priority:
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to bring up task manager, select processors tab, right click magic jack processor and set priority to high.
