re-install into the same location. You'll lose most installed apps but none of your data. Best of luck.

Try to install again booting from CD without formatting your HDD and skipping the recovery console, when U asked to repair, skip it and continue as a new installation

Before any process try to backup your data

Your request is unsolveable. Please give us some information to work with and I, for one, will be happy to help. Without specifics, your request is something akin to "Doctor, Fix me" without saying what's wrong.

Unfortunately, the suggestions made so far, though undoubtedly well-intended, do not address your issues because you haven't posted the issues you are having.

Even a general overview of the kinds of problems you are facing would help. Here are some troubleshooting questions to answer:
  1. When you turn on your computer, does it POST the BIOS screen? (Do you see a logo and a bunch of text that shows your hardware configuration? Sometimes the hardware stuff is hidden by the logo page, but you may see directions like "press DEL to see settings")
  2. Do you see the Windows XP boot screen and what version does it indicate (i.e. Home, Professional, none)
  3. a)Does the boot screen go away and your desktop load automatically, or
    b) Does the default Windows Logon screen appear with icons for each user account, or
    c) Do you see a floating window that indicates "Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to login", or
    d) does it hangup, or
    e) do you see the Blue Screen of Death (a blue screen with white letters that indicates that a non-recoverable error has occurred), or
    f) something else.
From these questions we can explore further. Some other useful information to have would be your existing system configuration and software installed.

If you have access to the internet, you can download and install a tiny program called BelArc Advisor
it will produce a report of your hardware and software configuration that you could post here for more help.

Trying to reinstall Windows or do a System Restore or a Repair Installation is unnecessary and you could be putting yourself in further jeopardy. Remember that the more information you can give, the easier it will be to pinpoint the problems you are having and the faster we can help you resolve your issues.

Sorry I couldn't be of any more help. I will check back to see if I can be of any more help.

Best wishes,
Jase
