Honeywell gas valve control will start the pilot,gas and motor but after few second it will shutdown the furnace,can you give me idea what was wrong?

Buy a new ignitor here; The Ignitor Store. Or talk an Amana dealer/Contractor to sell you one. They can range from 15 to 35 bucks! Depending on their mark-up. Give them your model number, and or ignitor part number. Their simple to change out, good luck, please contact if you have any questions.

Have the thermocouple replaced, ensure the pilot flame is blue - not yellow, yellow indicates blockage in pilot

SOURCE: Intertherm furnace pilot won't light

There should be a reset button in the upper chamer next to the fan motor. In the middle ,push in on the center red button to reset it, this tripps because it says I,m not gettig enough air flow due to a plugged or dirty fliter located on the front cover or door.

replace the gas valve....test for 24volt at the gas valve input.  if you have this then it's a def gas valve relay not working.

Double check the wiring connections, maybe you have the pilot valve and the main valve wiring reversed. I had a call one time where the homeowner installed the gas valve backwards, so no flow and of course and the wiring on the three terminals was reversed.

The inducer should start whether or not the gas valve is wired wrong, unless it is wired in parallel with the pilot valve.

When the heat cycle calls for gas there is no ignition is my gas valve bad?

I don't know what kind of furnace you have. But most furnaces have some sort of pilot first than after it is proven than the main gas will come on. Either a standing Pilot with a thermocouple. A hot surface ignition or Spark ignition with a flame sensor. Or a direct fire system where hot surface or spark ignitor start first than all the burners send a 1 sec blast of gas which is proven by the flame sensor if it proves the gas valve stays on.....
In what you have said you have 24 volts to the gas valve and it has not lite. then does the gas valve have a pilot tube???Does it have a thermocouple?? Do you smell gas?? If you don't smell gas then the main part of the valve has not opened. The Pilot valve has to open first and prove before the main gas will come on. I hope this helps. If you still need help repost with the name and model # of the furnace.

Furnace cuts off before reaching set temp.

You can make sure it is not the thermostat by crossing or jumping the R and W terminals (or associated wires) together. This will keep the furnace calling for heat. As it is approaching set temperature, get in front of the furnace and inspect the air filter to make sure it is clean, watch the control module for any error codes that may be turning off the system prematurely.

On a call for heat, the 24 volt thermostat sends a signal to the control module. The control module will indicate a call for heat with a light on the control either blinking or remain solid depending upon model. The inducer (exhaust) blower will purge all gasses from the furnace and pressurize a pressure switch. Once the pressure switch tells the module to continue, the electronic ignition will energize and send 120 volts to the igniter. The igniter will glow and you will be able to see it if viewed thru the small inspection port. Once the igniter gets hot enough, it sends a signal to the module opening up the gas valve (24 volts). Either a pilot will come on or the burner tube will ignite then spread the flame to all burners. Lastly a safety sensor will be looking for a certain temperature within a few seconds and the furnace will continue to operate and the room air blower will turn on in a minute or two.

What could go wrong? The unit will not run if there is no signal from the thermostat (bad thermostat or broken wire), the control module does not sense a signal from the thermostat (bad control), the inducer does not energize (bad motor), the pressure switch does not close (blocked vent piping, bad switch, plugged condensate hose), the igniter does not energize (bad control, bad igniter), the gas valve does not open or there is no gas (bad gas valve, broken wire, no gas), the pilot does not light (dirty pilot), the burner does not light (bad burner, plugged orifice, not enough combustion air), the flame does not spread to each burner (bad flame spreader, dirty flame spreader, more bad burners), the flame safety sensor does not detect flame (dirty or bad flame spreader, bad flame sensor, broken wire, bad control), or the room air blower does not energize (bad fan motor, bad control).

Gibson Furnace, Model #7106250 can not get a flame going. The furnace runs fine but is pumping out cold air without a flame. Any ideas?

80% ducane furnace makes several attempts to ignite then shuts down. glow stick lights but no ignition to main burners. any ideas?

My furnace will not shut off on auto. the fan will not run when switched to on. what should I check?

Some new furnaces have a feature that when it has an issue, it starts the room air blower until you reset the thermostat or kill power to the furnace. Not knowing what you have for a system I can offer you only how a furnace works and what you could look for "generically".

My heater blows cold air. any ideas?

Your unit has a diagnostic light on the circuit board. You need to look thru a small viewing port to see it. Once you count the number of b links, remove the lower panel and look at the wiring diagram for an error code chart. Then read the following to give you some ideas what to do.

Gas Furnace Will not light

Hi, normally when you turn the gas off at the flex line valve and leave it off for awhile, the gas has to clear the gas valve and lines up to the pilot. Purge its self of air before it will light again. It will take the electronic ignition several clicks and more before there is enough gas to light the pilot and then open the main gas valve to fire the burners. Tell me, what kind of gas furnace is this when you speak of water? you say the site glass was full and you had to drain it and then the ignitor kept on clicking when it normally only took one click to light it. Please let me know the style as in a split system, a package unit, all in one, or what you have. I will wait to hear back from you. If the pilot does not light right away, then yes let it continue to click and see if it will light. On a heater with the electronic ignition control module on it or a circuit board, this is what tells the pilot coil to energize to light the pilot. It will send power to the pilot coil to open and let gas through to light and same for the main gas valve, will get a signal to open when the pilot is on. It will not open unless the pilot is lite for saftey. I will wait for you're responce.
