Warranty on pc

I purchased a pc on EBay last November from a company in Warrington, a few days ago it failed to work and would not boot up, I rang the company and they told me to send it back which was going to cost about £10 and as I am a 76 year old pensioner that is quite a bit of money. My grandson called and he said it could be just a wire come loose and took the back off to have a look, it wasn't a wire, the hard drive which had a three year warranty on it had failed so we packed it up got a courier to pick it up and they delivered it last Friday, never heard a word so phoned them yesterday and after a long search found it and I rang later and they told me that the seal on the case had been broken so they would put a new drive in but I would have to pay for it, can you tell me if this is right please as I canot afford that kind of money

To whom it may concern,

Unfortunately you have tampered with the unit which has damaged the "tamper proof" seal. If these seals are broken all warranties are void and this is standard practice. If the seal was still intact then they would have to replace the failed component. The seals are used for people who try to update and change internal components and damage the machines. This protects the companies when unqualified personnel decide to tinker and then make a claim when they do damage. Unfortunately this also means that you also fall into this category and the company is no longer liable as the seal has been broken and they consider this to void the warranty for obvious reasons. Sorry I cannot offer any further assistance.

I purchased a garden umbrella a few months ago. I have used this item a few times and it is tearing in sections. This was from a company called The Magic Toy shop. A very bad purchase through e-bay. I

contact the seller and ask for a warranty replacement as it is not fit for the purchase
contact paypal if you bought through paypal and explain that the product is not as described and is inferior product
if you did not use paypal , then soy good by to the cash as the seller, unless they are honest, will do nothing.

Lenovo laptop sparks when charger is plugged in

Normally this should never happen. There is definitely something wrong with your laptop charger. You should stop using it. You can purchase replacement from stores such as ebay, amazon, google shopping, and etc. They are the cheapest compared to the your laptop brand's company. However, their prices and policies also vary greatly.

Personally, I would suggest buying from chargerbuy.com

According to your laptop model, you may search the correct replacement lenovo charger from the following link:
http://www.chargerbuy.com/laptop-ac-adapter/ibm-ac-adapters.html

This is where I bought my laptop charger sometime ago, and it is still working fine. Although their price is in the mid-range compare to the places I listed above, the price is much less than the original brand.
Moreover, this reasonable price comes with a year warranty. You should really take this website into consideration before purchasing. Their warranty and policy are very clear.

Hope this helps! Best of luck!

Won't turn on

Susan,
Dealing with overseas tech support people can be frustrating. If the laptop is only a few days old, you really need to contact them first.

Im sure its still covered under warranty, so start there first.
If it wont boot, it could be a number of things.
If you get no where with them, please post back and someone here will try to help.

Blue Screen on Dell Vostro 1400

OK you can try a couple of things.

1. On booting the Laptop, hold down F8 key, then choose "Last known Good Configuration". Windows may now start correctly.

2. If this doesn't work, do the same, but choose "Boot into Safe Mode"

If neither works you may have to repair Windows...

NATIONAL MICRO OVEN NOT FUNCTIONING

If you cannot get in touch with the warranty company, the retalier must have a authorised repair agent it can refer you too, as for the area, wheather the repair shop is near is a different problem as most warranty compoanies i have worked for will not cover the cost to get sent for repairs, in fine print of warranty card/paper. other than that, due to being purchased only a few days ago, you still fall under the 14-day return period that any retailer should uphold, and as far as i have seen, does uphold.

Self clean wont turn on...

Hi guess what! I am another KitchenAid owner with exactly the same problem. This is the second time it has happened and I am not going to sit back and let Whirlpool off the hook.

I plan on standing outside my local appliance store with a
placard and enough literature to hand out to anyone walking past.

This must stop!

Sef clean button won't work on touch pad... all other buttons work fine.

sounds like you have quite the problem. i have had a similar experience with this model and also the 906 or 908 models. can you tell me what error messages if any you get?

the reason the door locked is for safety reasons, due to the fact that the oven gets up to 1100 degrees.

i would recommend to stay way from this model, as the quality of the components has gone down, specifically to do with the circuit boards.
