Install xp

To install Windows XP on a Panasonic Toughbook CF52
you have two choices:

1) Use a standard Win'XP Pro SP3 boot CD and then
then download each driver from the Panasonic Website:

http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/itn/drivers/d_menu_en.html

2) Purchase the recovery disk from Panasonic directly
from the following website:

http://business.panasonic.com/support-computerstablets-dvdrequests

Here is what they say:
Recovery DVDs are available by mail for select Toughbook® products. Windows® XP back up service is only available to customers who purchased Panasonic computers with XP downgrade rights. Windows XP Backup Image and Windows 7 Recovery DVDs restore a PC to its original factory image. The standard Panasonic factory image includes the Windows operating system and all drivers/applications originally installed by Panasonic.

That is it.
Good Luck!

Usb Driver version 6.1.7601.21692

Install SP3 instead. Don't bother with SP2 since SP3 has newer versions of drivers anyway.

I have original win Xp Home ed. but it is on recovery disk. I changed my motherboard and i could not install my windows from that disk. I want seperate cd of Win XP Home edition.

I'm afraid its a case of buying one. I'd try ebay, the latest version is SP3.

Alternatively you could download and install Ubuntu. Its a free operating system. Google Ubuntu, all instructions are there on the Ubuntu website.

Have windows xp service pack 3 loaded don't have sound

Goto Start, Control Panel, add or remove programs. Uninstall the sound card drivers. Reload the Sound card drivers from your Setup CD. Every thing should work fine then. When you load SP3 some of the drivers get corrupted (lost).

Xp recovery

You need to download all the drivers installer files from manufacturer website first, and also all the software you want to install automatically with Windows. Then you build a Windows Xp boot CD with all the software setup embedded.

Have problem with windows Xp pro.

You can get the correct drivers from the Gateway website. Use another computer and download all the Windows XP files for that model number from the website. You need your model number of your pc. Get the files for your motherboard, video, sound card, network card, etc. save them to a usb key or a burn them to a cd. Take the usb key/cd to the other system and load the drivers.

This will get your system back up and running in now time.

I hope this helps you.

Deleted Vista Recovery Partition. Now XP installer can't read HDD

if you have created recovery disk before the deleting of the recovery partition u can format the drive from your bios and create a new recovery partition using the recovery disk if not if your pc has crashed and your recovery partition is gone u will have to get a new operating system software but if your pc is still stable just run the recovery manager and restore to factory settings and it will put recover partition back on your hard disk

Sp3 toshiba satellite l20 182

I would start by popping in the XP disk and getting in to recovery console (R at the first screen). Once there, run these commands:

fixboot c:
fixmbr
exit

This will rewrite the boot sector and master boot record on your drive. The "operating system not found" typically only happens when the boot sector is messed up. If that works and Windows loads, click Start -> Run and type

eventvwr

Click System on the left pane and, on the right side, click Source. Go to the "D" section and see if you have disk errors. It's a good bet that if your boot sector gets compromised, you're hard drive is about to crash and disk errors are being logged.
