Question about Washing Machines
We have a Hotpoint WF865 Ultima 'Super Silent' washing machine. It's about 4 years old now.
When we first bought it, I remember remarking that it was quieter thank our microwave when on full spin. This is no longer the case and it is now difficult to hold a telephone conversation when you're in the same room.
There are no noticable banging, whirring or scraping noises that you might associate with items getting stuck or faulty bearings. It's just generally louder at doing the spinning.
I did wonder if there was any way or increasing the tension on the drum so that it can't wobble as much. Maybe the noise comes from excessive play on it's suspension.
The machine has 5 year garentee onit 1st year all free next 4 years parts only the bearings have gone if it soulds like a plane taking off phone hot poit for a quote first then shop around this is a very big job very hard to do unless u r trainned
