I just formatted my computer and audio dosent is a veiwsonic silver VA1912w monitor.please help

What I could recon from your question is that your audio driver is not installed in your reformatted PC.

Please be informed that any Driver software depends upon the PC make, Motherboard type and Operating System. You need to know all the three information's to do get going.

Please find the Driver software's of your Audio and video inside the installation disk provided with the PC at the time of purchase. As you have not mentioned your PC make I am unable to give you the direct download link. However you can download the same by visiting the website of the company that manufactured the PC.

Even here you need to be careful to download the correct software for your PC. You need to be exact with the PC make and Model number and the OS that you are using.

To install just Double clock on the driver setup.exe file and go on clicking 'Next' until you get the 'Finish' option and restart the PC.

If you feel that my answers have helped you getting solution to your problems then please give a vote.

My sound card dont work

Try installing the latest audio driver.
You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, thesupport download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operatingsystem. I have connected the audio cable from the computer to the monitor and there is no sound.. where can I find the driver?

Vista is usually pretty good at sourcing device drivers! Do you have your original Vista install CDs. It might help to have the Vista CD in the drive when you plug in the audio cable and see if the OS can find the appropriate device driver on the CD.

Otherwise is your system connected to the internet? If so Vista will also try to download appropriate device drivers from the Net.

Failing that you will need to manually source the driver from the web. I find that Google is the best resource for finding device drivers. If you right click on the device with the yellow "!" in device manager and select "Properties". Then click on the Details tab and check out the Hardware Ids. Often as not putting these into Google will help you identify the device, and give you an idea of where to get the appropriate device driver.

Good luck!

I formatted my computer and the sounds not working any more. i have no drivers they also got lost. help

Since I don't see the exact model listed that you need the driver for, I can only suggest that you locate the model number and visit the manufacturers website to download the correct driver. The model is usually on the front or back of the tower.

If you can get me the model number and operating system I will be able to give you better instructions.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.

Microphone does not seem to be working

The microphone connector is on the rear of the monitor, and you need to connect it to your computer's microphone input jack. The cable is the same kind you would use to connect the audio output jack to the input on a set of computer speakers. Once the microphone is plugged in it works just like any standard microphone. No special drivers are needed for the monitor, but you do need to be sure that the proper drivers for your computer's sound devices have been installed.

If this solution has been what you needed, please take a moment to rate it. Thanks for asking here!

Audio driver not found

Hello sukhendu_gho ...
  • PROBLEM PLACEMENT: All Products > MONITORS > Troubleshooting > Generic problem for all Compaq MONITORS
  • "AUDIO driver not found"
  • " i have not found my AUDIO driver?"
Just so I'm absolutely clear:
  • You need AUDIO driver(s)?
  • Does your motherboard have on-board sound?
  • Do you have a seperate audio card? If so, what's the exact make/model/series?
The reason I ask is because the manufacturer (HP) of your Compaq Presario 7500 only offers Monitor, Modem, and ROM software/driver packages. Nothing for audio specifically or any composite/all-in-one packages [].

Please post back with answers and/or clarification, and we can try again.
