You have plugged the defrost drain line. This is where the water goes to in the bottom of your freezer when it goes through the defrost (removal of ice from the freezer coil) cycle. It sounds like that hole is plugged and now the water/ice has now frozen in the vent that lets air circulate down into your refrigerator compartment. What I usually do in this case is to unplug the refrigerator, empty out the freezer compartment. Usually I also end up either pulling off the back panel or the bottom panel (in the freezer compartment) Looking for that defrost drain hole and thawing it out with a heat gun (be careful of melting plastic) or actually I use a hair dryer. I can sometimes do this also by pouring small amounts of HOT tap water onto it and then sopping/absorbing it away with a sponge or dishcloth. I repeat this until I get the water to go down the drain tube.

Try it and let me know!

SOURCE: GE TFX26KRDA WW 2001 side by side refrig/freezer w warm fridge

Cleaned the condenser coils which were dusty but not severely so. Checked the evaporator coils which were NOT iced. Reset the fridge to coldest setting and freezer to #5 (mid range of temperature) and waited a full 36 hours. Fridge temp is 40 F and freezer is about 0F. Not sure what is different except coldest setting on fridge. Warm weather is here but not warm enough to require AC. Temps in late afternoon in house about 77-80F. Any thoughts are appreciated because I suspect this problem is not completely resolved.

SOURCE: The freezer is cold but the fridge is 70 degrees.

If the freezer is good and does not have frost building on the rear wall the electric controled damper between the freezer may be frosted shut or defective. Part Number 67003903. Check that first Sea Breeze

Need a repair shop in the baltimore area to look at my dehumidifier runs but wont pull water

It's cold outside. If the temperature is too low, the cold coils will just frost up and you won't get much water 'pulled'.
Check to see if the cold coils actually are getting cold when the unit is running and the control is set to cause the compressor to work-not just the fan.
If the coils are cold and full of frost or ice, the room is too cold for the dehumidifier to work. You'll have to raise the temperature of the room or wait for warmer weather.
If the coils never get cold, the compressor might be bad or the unit might have lost its freon.
I wonder, though, if it's just too cool and dry right now for a dehumidifier to be pulling more moisture out of the air.
Hope this helps!

the screeching noise could be rubber deposits on the belt pulley or pulley bearings for the power steering pump BUT its also a big clue that the timing belt tensioner is about to give up...CHECK BOTH please.....

If you already had the coils and filter cleaned and the blower is OK, that only leaves the refrigerant charge.
You are probably low on refrigerant.

Need to know if indoor unit fan shuts off at desired temperature

Check your operating instructions and see if indoor fan unit has an "auto" feature that allows the fan to run only when the outdoor unit is running. Allowing the indoor fan to run constantly will provide for better air circulation and less stagnation but will use more energy.
