Hold the power and the home button until the phone reboots thats a good idea. Or make sure the USB is right and secure for the iphone so itunes can read it. Try this about 5 times it has happened to me and now its finally working. Once itunes has recognized your iphone press restore and download the newest update. If this is helpful then please vote for me.

Thanks

The phone wont slide to answer

It MAY be a software issue within the phone, try restoring your phone, be warned though you can loose ALL data on the phone, if you restore your iphone as new it will wipe it and make it like the day you get it from the box so if it is software problem with the phone it will be gone but if you restore from a back up the problem may still be there.

If you do restore it as new and the problem is still there it may be an issue with the hardware of the phone, you should check out your warrenty with apple if your still in it they will help you out hardware wise.

Use the following steps to restore your iPhone.

***** IF YOU CANT SEE YOU IPHONE IN ITUNES OR IT IS STUCK AT THE APPLE LOGO - POWER DOWN YOUR PHONE - HOLD DOWN THE HOME BUTTON FOR AROUND 6SECS WHILST CONNECTING TO ITUNES - RELEASE BUTTON - ITUNES WILL THEN APPEAR WITH MESSAGE SAYING IT HAS DETECTED IPHONE IN RECOVERY MODE & CONTINUE TO RESTORE YOUR PHONE - FOLLOW FROM STEP 6! ) *****

My iphone is hanged. i cannot turn off the iphone. i can see only the apple sign

To do an emergency restart of the iphone, press and hold down both the home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time.

If your iphone still hangs when starting and will not be recognized in iTunes then follow these steps:

Make sure the device is off before attempting this!
  1. Press and hold down the Home button for about 10 seconds until a yellow triangle with a text which says Please Connect to iTunes appears.
    iphone-recovery-mode.jpg
  2. Plug the iPhone into Mac or Windows PC. Release the button if you haven’t.
  3. Run and open iTunes if it’s not already opened yet.
  4. iTunes will prompt a message that says iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Click OK.
  5. You will be taken to the iPhone pane. Then, click on Restore.
  6. Wait for the full restoration process to complete, and the iPhone will be back to the original settings state as when it left the manufacturing factory, typically a working phone again if you face any problem, unless it’s hardware related.

I can't get my iPhone 3G to detect other bluetooth devices. Some devices detect it, but are unable to pair with the Iphone 3G. This iPhone 3G bluetooth problem is another one in a chain of iPhone 3G...

The iPhone unfortunately does not pair with just any device, it would be best to check compatibility before purchasing a new peripheral for your iPhone.
